and I am only looking at Tacos because they are the cheapest/least depreciating new option for me. I mean hell that taco is close to the average USED JK in pricing... the average NEW JL is 45k msrp... plus whatever you can negotiate down... and I haven't seen 10k on a 2020 JL... only on 2018sDetroit wrote: ↑Mon Mar 09, 2020 12:59 pmGo test drive this one you found. Well to give you a bit of a background. I have driven the FJ in and I really liked it... mainly because the engine was far more suited for a /suv thing. But... I fully understand the fact that since Yoder switched to 3.5 which is different...
To answer the question, no I have not driven a taco. They are nearly impossible to find out here. 1:100 is based on my dillerman search.
The 8AT as you mentioned is just far better suited for a than the I am that is the case in the Taco, as it would come with the 6 speed. Either way I suppose I should test drive one to find out... but that has been rather difficult.
The in the FJ worked really well...agreed. the new Taco is the same

Seems like a good test drive victim but I'd grab the sand one that's brand new for only 15% more if you decide to go Taco.max225 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 1:25 am https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/ctd/d/ ... 05998.html

But he already has?
I like post from rape caves as I am signing papers. Unlike some of our friends.
Also Taco Test drive may be delayed until Friday because AZN wants to experience the taco also

Cadi like cadillac?
So quick story time... Unless there is involved... there is one Epic not far from here... (1hr) they have
13 MANUAL TACOs in stock in TURD OFFROAD TRIM (FLEDSPEC). ... there are probably 20 total in the state of california... So they also have almost 4k on the hood on those... so I think that's the best option at the moment, unless I can wear out this FJ dude I have been working on for 2 weeks...
There are two at 34k right now... one Sandstone and one Cement... I'd have a Fled twin , except it would have color bumper vs chrome.

Also ... big debate right now... I mean my stockers with these are basically useless do I take the gamble on the 17”, or so I go 215/40/18 on these and call it a day .... I can’t go oem size nothing in that size at all

MICHELIN PILOT SPORT 4S 192.99
HANKOOK VENTUS V12 EVO2 105.96
FIRESTONE FIREHAWK INDY 500 112.95
GENERAL G-MAX RS $95.99
Which would y'all choose. All are Max or Ulra High performance summer and 300-360 treadwear... The michelins are quite more than the rest... nearly double all the others which are almost as highly/ashighly rated.

That's my struggle too. I'd probably go with the 215/40/18 Firestones for you.
You're going to in short order whether you get the cool 17" and michelins or not, right?

I'm throwing RS on my Gorf this year. Slightly newer compound then the Indys, cheaper, owned my Continental so hopefully not shit, seems more predictable in rain. They are often thrown on big V8 Challys and get good reviews from users.max225 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 14, 2020 3:20 pm MICHELIN PILOT SPORT 4S 192.99

You're going to in short order whether you get the cool 17" and michelins or not, right?
So I have 3 options.
Option 1. Keep stockers and go 215/40/18 which should fit and allow me to get better tires. The MPSS are $220 a pop in that size... and nearly sold out so it'll have to be a Extreme contact Sport for $135 a pop. There are no firestones in that size, only the extremes and V12s for $147 but they have worse reviews.
Option 2. Full tire rack package which is Sparco Assetto Gara in 17" + 215/45/17 in the above mentioned prices... likely with the Firestones with TPMSS and mounting it is $1250 delivered to my door + $60/$150 for spacers if needed. I am not 100% sure if they are, and I can't find any info. Likely if i wanted to sell my old wheels I could get $500 out of it as well.
Option 3. :fulltretard: get the TD wheels from ECS, wait 1-2 weeks for them to get here I am assuming, wheels are $1100 shipped to my door, + $100 for sensors + $550 for tires + $100 for mounting and balancing, and likely multiple trips to tire place because I have no vehicle that can fit all that shit at once. ~$1850 for that combo... which is nearly 3 times more than option 1... and used mini wheels/tires go for $500-600 so no I won't recoup any of that shit.
Also considering the shape of my tires I am fairly time limited... at most 1 week, these tires are completely fking shot in the back. So time is sort of an issue as well.

Oh the Continental ECS is a really good tire, just buy those and be done. It's 98% of the PS4S and drives exactly the same. Without a lap timer you'd never be able to tell the difference.
