Why not? I took a fridge home in my ZR2 with 5' foot bed no problem.
70” fridge in a 60” bed?

You keep the fridge upright, push it all the way to the front and run a ratchet strap across the top.

Fridge moving 101.

I thought it was 48 hrs.

Tailgate down and a ratchet strap holding it in. It didn't stick out past the tailgate. Drove 20 miles no problem like that.

Also how I understand it, and that's what we did with ours (48 hours upright and unplugged).

Gawd it was just to illustrate that this pos thing has a giant 6’ bed, yes you can keep the tailgate down or have stuff stick out. It’s sort of an anti truck ... 4cyl with no power etc, but it is quite utilitarian

I do miss having a 6' bed sometimes, but the only limitation I found is I can't haul motorcycles and a trailer.
That's it.

It can tow an E30, which is it's primary purpose.
That and being a reliable daily machine.

Freezer is at -10f and fridge is at 30f looks like the doom and gloom didn’t happen on my 2 mile treck to get an open box $1299 fridge for $762 because I’m very likely leaving this house and it just needs to last 3 months.

Also manhandled a 280lb fridge myself.

Nice find with the open box.

Your point about aforementioned trucks is invalid tho, because it can be loaded in different ways.
The biggest detriment to newer trucks over the pictured tacoma is the load height, but it is doable.

Insane question for you.... My post got buried with that fridge talk.

This is my perfect taco.... 34k ... Is there anything close from FCA that would compete.
(Trd Off road taco, rear lockers, skids, comes with apple car play, auto braking blah blah, LED headlights and that's it)

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/ctd/d/ ... 68596.html

It's that or a 25k at best FJ that is 8+ years older.

I wonder if that $34k price is real?

You seem to be able to get some insane Jeep deals at local dealers, so maybe a JL?

A Willys JL 4-door :manuel: with only the hard top and tech group (to get the 7" for carplay) should be doable in the mid-$30k range in your area.

No one is :dill: 'ing on JL Willys. Doesn't the :manuel: suck without the RUBI package? Even the Rubi felt oddly geared... 1-2 are too short, 3rd is too tall already, and 5'6th are freeway only gears. It's like a 3/4 speed based on my time in one. They are listed at MSRP here. Also my fav :dillerman: used to have 120+ Jls in stock with 6-8k on the hood over the last year... but as of FY20, they have 20... :wtf: No :dill: 's :(

The MSRP on the taco is 37.3, the dealer is taking off 2k and there is a $1500 rebate from Toyota. So... that's not that :amazing:
MSRP on the Willy's is 42.8k, with HT + 2.T +Auto, I don't think :manuel: is an option for me.

Why would :manuel: be an option for you in a Taco, but not a JL? Have you driven a :manuel: taco?

I don't care for the :manuel: in any JL/T. You're spot in with the gearing comment...they drive like 4 speeds. I've driven :manuel: Rubicons and Sports, all are just meh to me. the 8-speed auto is just way too good to consider anything else. The more I drive it, the more I like it.

That dealer must not be ordering as many after having so many sitting on the lot. A good thing for the company, but not great for :dill: s.

Well to give you a bit of a background. I have driven the FJ in :manuel: and I really liked it... mainly because the engine was far more suited for a :truk: /suv thing. But... I fully understand the fact that since Yoder switched to 3.5 which is different...

To answer the question, no I have not driven a :manuel: taco. They are nearly impossible to find out here. 1:100 is :manuel: based on my dillerman search.

The 8AT as you mentioned is just far better suited for a :jeep: than the :manuel: I am :notsure: that is the case in the Taco, as it would come with the 6 speed. Either way I suppose I should test drive one to find out... but that has been rather difficult.

Go test drive this one you found. Would be really curious to hear what you think.

The :manuel: in the FJ worked really well...agreed. :notsure: the new Taco is the same :doe:
