You gonna run the Unibrace and this? If not I’ll see what I can offer to take this one off your hands once your UB is here[user not found] wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2019 9:05 amAbout that. I do have an UBQ on the way but the big reason I picked this one was the install.
I am confident this won't perform as well as a Unibrace but I installed this in half an hour last night while drinking a whiskey. I don't have the patience or time to deal with drilling and nutserts and shit.

dont forget to disconnect battery![user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2019 11:41 amWill do! It's super easy based on YouTube videos.
1) turn wheel all the way to right and use a flathead to release the airbag via a little hole that appears
2) turn to the left and repeat
3) pull out airbag and remove harnesses
4) unbolt old wheel (one bolt) and pull off
5) put new wheel on and bolt on
6) harness reinstall
7) push airbag in till it snaps in place
Done!

So you can still fold the seats down but you lose the utility of the extra space? Or can you quickly pop the brace out when you need to carry something long?

Got it.[user not found] wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2019 10:55 amSeats still fold, I can easily get my skis in the pass through, it removes in about 5 minutes with a wrench for anything you need to remove it for.
Also, FTFY.

I want to get 3M CR90 or similar on all of my glass but I'm too to pay for it. Should be enough to make a big difference in feel without incurring the wrath of or the sun.

Apparently down south people are putting this stuff on their panoramic roofs, and the things are blowing up while they drive around town picking up groceries and whatnot. I didn't know this when I installed the shit, and it works really well, but after seeing my windshield crack I'm a little bit perturbed that I didn't look into it more before I installed it.[user not found] wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2019 5:39 pmNo tint is legal here so I definitely don't muck around there.
Seems like a common issue though?

It's fine on all the other windows, I'm really surprised a windshield cracked. Maybe Volkswagen glass is super thin or something.
