Really nothing, it’s a nice vehicle, just a little boring. I think I really just need to make it make some noises and it would be cool. The Abarf is interesting because they’re $7k but the FiST is kind of a tough pill to swallow for similar money to the BMW. More fun but tiny inside and not really more fuel efficient even.

Ergonomically it feels like the bread can that it is... I don’t think it’s all that bad and it makes more room inside but it isn’t sporty (at least the 500 I rented, it was a manual “C” not Abarth).

Get a street seat. I'm not hip to what's come out recently, but IIRC there are a few decent options. Race seats are great but really unnecessary if you have tight belts/harness available. My :wankel: cloth seats with the clip-in harness were a perfect compromise between DD and :stig:
The Corbeau A4s seem to be a pretty decent sport seat that tons of people have installed, they’re reasonably priced as well.

Although... it looks like the regular Speeds are all the same dimensions - https://charlotte.craigslist.org/pts/d/ ... 21766.html

Trying to figure out if the Speed V sliders would work with the regular Speed seats.

Yea, I can't find anyone how's actually bought he Corvette Speed V seats to see the difference...I think it's all just mounts/sliders. Those on CL are :notbad:

Or you can get something really similar without the fancy "R" brand for $100 on ebay

Seats should be considered a safety device IMO, and as such shouldn't be cheaped out on.

The OEM seats aren't the best, but they were at least subjected to a myriad of safety tests.

Yeah, Recaro have CAD type drawings with dimensions for both on their site, looks to be exactly the same, the V just has some different designs/fabrics. I'd be happy with basic black cloth. The Speed V designs look a little too modern for a C5 anyway and I'm not willing to drop 40% of the value of my car on a pair of seats.

I'm going to assume the R brand gets me a seat that I feel ok in after a 7 hour road trip.
