Griff's Garage
just having fun.
It's nothing I haven't mentioned in here before recently other than the addition of a shift knob as well for the Fake Sport. I've been talking about one particular mod for each car, which is what these will be. Plus some brake pads, shift knob, etc.
I changed the oil and added a K&N filter on the BMW this weekend. Seems to drive exactly the same and no added noise with the filter. When I have time I'll remove the charcoal filter too.

Did you change the air box or do a drop in ? Drop Ins won’t chAnge the sound
Drop in... air box is a little IMO, I imagine OEM is generally much better for performance. The BMW seems to have a decent cold air design.max225 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 10:42 amWhat shape was the filter in ? AlsoD Griff wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 10:18 am

The factory filter really looked OK. Who knows if it was original or not, the car has about 25K on it now, so I figured I'd just change it

Installed the Sparco QRT-R today, things went in pretty easily with their hardware kit. Man, what a difference in cornering not sliding out of the seat. It took about45 minutes to get home in traffic and it was pretty darn comfy, the seat fits me perfectly. It’s definitely a tight squeeze in the C5 but worked without anymodifications. I just need to go back and lower the seatbelt receiver a bit.
Fortunately I just got with a helmet on and the slider installed, but it rubs going back and forth.

It's a Nova. I went to my buddy's house to install the seat as I am confined to the parking deck at my apartment. He had a C10 (1984 I think) Scottsdale with a 350 swap, he traded for that thing, which has an LS swap, he's working on restomodding it to make a sort of road course/weekend fun car. It's a huge project that I don't envy, but should wind up being
Installed the BROla exhaust on the douche wagon this afternoon. Install was easy with a perfect fit and no rusted bolts. This thing still looks brand new underneath. Overall... I’m a little bit let down, it’s still pretty darn quiet. It does sound good and is certainly more sporty but I wish it were a bit more. Oh well, it’s nice for DD, May get slightly louder with break in.
These new jack stands are dope

I also attempted to install the rear wheels on the front... the 255 tires rubbed the shocks, so the will have to stay for now, it would require a spacer to our rears on the front. I may look into it. Probably not though, nodding to try to make something what it just isn’t is a bad path to go down
