Happened to my golf TDI. I ran full fan with no cabin air filter for two or three days giving a good dose of A/C for the first half and no A/C for the second half. Then i installed a new filter and was good to go.

Yeah Frumunda Cheese/Cleaning Chemical smell, software issues with the gauge cluster when using Internet Radio on the mylink apps. Been to the dealer multiple times for each issue and get told "cannot replicate" beyond frustrating.

I had a straight pipe on my ALH; the variable vane turbo cuts most of the noise. k03 is a wg turbo though? IDK much about the ahu engines.

Still, the TDI's exhaust is pretty quiet.

The car isn't that bad with the exhaust, unfortunately it's a MK1 so the car is loud to begin with but you hear the engine more than the exhaust, may need to re-check the IP timing, had it a little advanced initially. I've got a little too much nozzle for the car at the moment as well so the plan was to future proof it and get a bigger turbo but getting cut from the job in the next few months so I need that turbo cash to pay for heating oil

I'll be sure to bring the car out to the next meat-up if the roads aren't shit, don't want to deal with Hagerty on why I drove the car in a blizzard condition :P

Nope, it's an AHU out of a 98 Jetta TDI that I bought for this project.

Yeah, I was going back and forth on an ALH Beetle that I got the guy down to about the same price as the jetta, and in the end I probably would have went that direction anyway but the MK3 had some mods already on it so after selling those parts I profited in the deal.
