Pops bestowed upon me his 2003 911 Carrera 3.6 6 speed
It's not in bad shape for only having 73.5k miles, but there's a few things I've had to address already. Mainly, they're just little things, but eventually I'll get the IMS retrofit done. Yeah, the wheels are ugly as fuck, but I ordered a set of BBS LM's that'll be here some time in August.

While the wheels aren't totally suited to the car, the color matched thing does work at it's not that bad really. Congrats either way though man. What's the specs on the wheels you bought?

The analog experience is much better for driving satisfaction in the 911. My subaru is worlds faster, though. Pretty good pair, I think. I enjoy both cars on different levels.
I just ordered some new wheels instead. I'm not gonna fuck with these forgestars.

I hate the high offsets on Porsche wheels because it makes brake clearance calculations a bitch without poking too much and ruining the fenders. I had to sit with BBS and RavSpec on this one to dial in the fitment I wanted without poke and without having to run a 5mm spacer in front to clear the calipers

Fair enough, didn't know fitmet would be such a bitch on those cars. That should make for a pretty good looking setup once it's together though.KiaGiver wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 7:33 pmThey're gold faced with diamond black lipsDevilchrono wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 12:05 pm While the wheels aren't totally suited to the car, the color matched thing does work at it's not that bad really. Thanks! it was only a bitch because BBS wouldn't customize the face since these are limited editions. I had 3 choices and it took forever for BBS to get back to me on which of the three didn't need a spacer to clear the brakes but were still tame enough to have a decently wide tire and not poke.Devilchrono wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 7:46 pmFair enough, didn't know fitmet would be such a bitch on those cars. Not interested just wanted to see maybe it can offset the cost of the LM’s
