Rest of the interior is out. About one more solid day of work, and another just organizing and labeling and I'll be ready to get to sanding/bodywork.
Hoping to be ready for paint by the end of the month. Possibly painted early May.

Most likely, I'm going to go in there tonight and label the connectors, well, the ones I know.
I found this:

I have to drain the coolant anyway to pull the radiator, and condenser, in order to paint the core support, and the A/C isn't hooked up, would be a perfect time to go in there, clean it out, and replace the foam as shown in the thread above.
He built one good unit from four. I have the one in the car and a spare, so I have a decent bin of parts to pull from.

Do these have blend door issues as well?I figured since it is such an early car it was "lever" driven and didn't have the typical issues of that sort. I'd change that or "re-enforce" it for sure, a inducing old car problem that pretty much requires dash removals.Melon wrote: ↑Tue Apr 03, 2018 1:56 pmMost likely, I'm going to go in there tonight and label the connectors, well, the ones I know.

Yeah, fortunately it did work, it diverted air up, and down, the only one I couldn't get to work properly was the front defroster.max225 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 03, 2018 2:02 pmDo these have blend door issues as well?I figured since it is such an early car it was "lever" driven and didn't have the typical issues of that sort. I'm hoping it's due to a piece of worn foam or other simple fix.

I am super impressed with the work going on in this thread. I am also super jealous of your mechanical ability. I would have that car in a million pieces with no chance of it ever going back together.

Got the interior cleaned up, and all rust spots found. Got the doors disassembled, and removed from the car. Also, tried to get to the smooth material beneath, picked up some lower grit sanding discs to get to the good stuff faster.

Had to sand the paint off of the rear quarter on both sides, the driver's side was way worse with the damaged paint. Made the cutout for the exhaust, and got some primer on there to keep it from rusting.
Really impressed with the Dupli-color self etching primer, I'll pick some more up and use it where I have bare metal.
Patched the hole in the floor board.
Also, going to need a new front fender, the passenger side panel has a few rust holes.
