I had a similar
moment when I was asked to design a 1 "family room" addition with kitchen update to a hunting camp... At an old cotton plantation ( circa 1840s?).
Was talking budget. Owner said around $300-500. I said sounded high per sqft. He said, no Total. My jaw about dropped. Lesson: don't count others money.
