I"m so used to dodging potholes in the :gti: that I still do it in the :jeep: GIve it a year or two and I'm sure I'll hit full :aintcare: status, but I figure for now the more I dodge, the less unnecessary harsh wear on the suspension. Gotta keep that mall crawling ability pristine.

We're pretty rooted in Philly, brah. If she gets thrown out of her position at the coffee shop then it'll open up.
Don't you make all the money :doe: ? Come to NC. We like coffee here too. We went to this really neat coffee shop in a London double decker in Asheville a few weeks ago.

Took the :poorvette: on it's first long distance trip since the cam...and there's a horrible booming resonance between 2k and 2.5k rpm. Not a vibration that I can feel, but a terrible resonance. Unfortunately, that's cruising altitude, so yet another issue to track down. 100% dependant on RPM, not vehicle speed does it with clutch in or out, so it's def engine. Accy, clutch, flywheel, etc.

I am working on the :truk: today to get the front winch mount installed and winch wiring. Going off the grid next week, so I have some work to do to prep. Pics to come.

Honestly, probably just going to park it. The love affair is fading. Focus on the truck and getting the Volt done so it's not a DD and figure it out later.

Its frustrating to deal with old car problems. I've been paying to keep mine problem free but at least once a year I'm dealing with one big issue (leaky diff/harmonic) and a few small ones. This year it's some dash jarring vibration coming from the shifter. When I get it back I'll change my fluids and take the shifter assembly apart. If I can't find anything then I'll be going the :wasteful: route and having a pro deal with it. If it turns into another 2k fix (i.e. torque tube) I may consider offing next spring.

Throw a resonator in the exhaust system
It's not exhaust related...it has stock Z06 mufflers on it that are quite tame.

Took my dad for a ride last night, he suspects the flywheel could be slightly out of balance. I pulled the belts and confirmed that it's not any of the accy's on the front, so that really just leaves the flywheel/clutch and the balancer. I'm legit concerned that the shop that balanced the clutch screwed it up. I've always noticed a rumble in that RPM range, but never sit in that RPM range long enough to bother me. If it's the $1k clutch...I...don't know what I'm going to do. Probably just buy a cheap LS7 clutch to hopefully fix it and off it quickly before something else breaks.

Does it make the sound with the clutch in and out? Not moving just revving in the driveway? Any chance the exhaust hit something and bent a hanger or whatever so it's now resting against something it shouldn't?

If Infamous can rev the car while you listen to the motor you might be able to pinpoint it.

Dang dude hope you get this figured out.

Yep, clutch in or out, it'll do it revving in the driveway. Exhaust is clear of everything, I've checked a ton.

It's has to be the clutch/flywheel. The good news is that it can't be THAT out of balance because you can't feel it. It's just a rumbling sound, but you can't feel the vibration...which means if it is out, it's a tiny amount. I'm thinking about putting some washers under select pressure plate bolts to see if I can add weight and fix the balance that way.

Yea, this has been a concern in the back of my mind since I noticed it last year. This is the first time I trusted the car enough to go distance, and the concern has moved to the front of my mind.

I did spend time yesterday getting my front hitch mount on and winch wiring done on the :truk: Having battery connectors at the front and back will be 5/7. My tire pump needs to be connected directly to the battery, so I bought some connectors so I can just connect it to the plugs instead, no need to pop open the hood and deal with :derp:

I suck at photos, will take some tonight but probably not.

Driving them in MI generally sucks, unless you mod it specifically for that... i.e. run 17s with sidewall and a reasonable ride height and something like koni FSD shocks.

Oh, I love Corvettes. If I lived somewhere else, I'd be 5/7 :fuckyeah:

I love my car, and hopefully this issue is easily resolved and I can just let it sit most of the time and only drive it when I really want to. I'll probably sell it, but would like to try to avoid that.
