We’re you in the tan colored hoodie/jacket?

Also, looks like an epic trip. 5/7 want to check it out sometime!
Nope, I was wearing a green hoodie with a bunch of thermal layers underneath...I don't really do coats unless 100% necessary.

I don't think he got me on camera outside of the truck. I will probably show up on his channel more as we have more wheeling trips planned. High likelihood of something next week over thanksgiving weekend.
Got ya. I was just looking for a really tall dude.
Snow wheeling looks like fun, but rather slippery.

Really tall dude in a green hoodie and green beanie with hippie hair would be me. I might be in a shot or two.

Snow wheeling was unique...and in this case actually made it a lot easier. The trails are super rocky, but the snow filled in the rocks and made things surprisingly smooth. In that respect it was easier. But if climbing technical things like the "Marblehead stairs" as shown in the video, the snow complicated things quite a bit. I didn't climb those because the obstacle only exists as an obstacle...you go down it then you turn around and go back up. I'm more of an "overlander" in that I want to see unique things and enjoy the trail, not spend hours trying to climb an obstacle I didn't need to go down in the first place, let alone climb back up. Makes me a :pussy: or whatever, but we're all into what we're into.

:pussy: doesn’t drive around without a roof at 30 degrees doe.

Obstacles as obstacles have their place, and cruising around seeing the sights has its place. Neither better nor worse, just different.

Which ones? @14:42?

That was actually the easiest line. Those ledges are intense...it's easily the most challenging obstacle on public land in the state of MI. I didn't even bother because I knew I'd get hung up all over it and I did it before in my ZR2, which wasn't easy. Bison bro wanted to climb it "for content".

Can’t you find a set of 35s laying around in development or something? Surely they had some to make sure they would fit in the stock location.

I was talking about going down them. Didn't even make it to going up them.
I don't think anyone guided him down, he just sent it down the hard part for reasons.

I honestly wasn't there for that. I went there not for the obstacle, but the cliff @14:05. I walked out to that cliff, lit up some grass, and contemplated existence for 45 minutes while those dudes where playing video games on hard. My brain is all sorts of messed up lately, nature is the only thing that seems to ground me anymore.

I can, but I can't get them out of the building. 35" tires are pretty noticeable.

I watched that whole damned video and didn't see that Gladiator drive over anything, or remove it's doors, top and fold down the windshield. 0/7 from me.

IF I could have seen something like this it would have saved most of the video for me:

I had the freedom panels off, I didn't take the windshield down because it required tools (which I have in the handy kit from the factory) and there was decent mud slinging. The freedom panels off was epic tho. I really enjoyed it.

I have a fundamental difference in expectations for this stuff. I hate people and social media, so I go to wheel these things to get away from that, not participate in it. I don't want to waste time filming, or taking snaps of the truck posed on a rock or some shit. I'm there for the experience and to get away from the shit I hate. I let my buddy do his thing filming, but whenever he asked me to do something to film, I declined because that's not what I'm there for.

A near stock Z71 would make it...just a lot of scraping. The Z71's we've wheeled with have been lifted to ~ZR2 height and they do OK. I didn't use lockers at all on this last trip, but had to with my ZR2. The terrain was different with snow, so I'm not sure if it was the trail condition or the capability of the truck.

The Forrester was legit. The dude sourced a mechanical low-range from an Aussie Subaru, and lifted the thing with a ton of underbody protection. It went everywhere everyone else went, which was quite :impressive: IMO.
