I’m about this statement. Everyone has been doing the Lexus “off road thing” for a bit now. And it’s not really a secret that the average doesn’t know. I noticed that especially on the used market these vehicles get tagged under 4 runners etc on Craigslist as well.Detroit wrote: ↑Fri May 14, 2021 2:41 pmIt's an excellent point, and possibly very valid. Just like the GX, everyone knows the 4Runner, few know the GX. Avalanche vs Escalade EXT is quite possibly the same.troyguitar wrote: ↑Fri May 14, 2021 2:39 pm I was just wondering if it might be like the GX470 vs 4runner in that the luxury version is somehow cheaper than the "regular" version used these days because people are weird.

The GMT900 Avalanche is like 50 billion times better lookingDetroit wrote: ↑Fri May 14, 2021 10:02 amI just don't have anywhere to store a trailer. I already have to somehow make space for the boat trailer.
That said, the possibility of getting a side by side is high next year, and that will need a trailer, which could double as a truck bed indeed. Towing behind a GX would be 5/7.
Though another "perfect" option would be a GMT800 Avalanche. Might keep an eye out for one on the west coast to bring back next year.

It's just the E36 M3 is also a fast sedan, and is paid for with much cheaper insurance.

Thread title change since all my remotely interesting rolling stock is liquidated and I'm counting down the days until the CT goes back to hell.
BUT a new chapter begins. One of aquatic leisure set to a soft rock soundtrack.
Our boat hoist is in the water! We're on the end, newest=last. since this is a 5 min walk from our house. Clearly still some leveling to do since it's so low, they're working on that today and tomorrow. Going to be 80 on Friday, so getting the boat in the water this weekend would be
Speaking of, boat content incoming. I need to change the oil in the engine and outdrive, I also suspect the thermostat is stuck open so I'm going to replace that. Hopefully accomplishing that tomorrow or Thursday.

0/7 will be decorating the hoist with that crap. At most I may look into adding a 12v motor to power it up and down rather than the manual crank, but even that probably won't happen.

Right up Dplac's alley.
I may take the CT out with the RTT and a ZR2 crew to camp on the island later this summer. Would be because I think it'll do anything a ZR2 will out there. Fitting through tight trails will be the hardest part.

Kind of. It's against the rules to off-road it. Any damages are 100% on me.[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri May 28, 2021 12:24 pmCorp lease? Send it.Detroit wrote: ↑Fri May 28, 2021 12:15 pm

I wheeled the JT ZFG, but the CT being wider makes me more nervous. We'll see, I miss wheeling
