I got to put the car to the test today and everything feels really good . this car!
Just in time for awesome long term weather. Windows down I'm really enjoying the noises and plan to pick up an OBDEleven dongle this weekend so I'll be setting those valves full open for MOAR braps.

I've got a slow day tomorrow, so I think I'm going to install this bad boy.... the one on the right is the freebie and supposed to mate up perfectly with the wider remus tubes/clamps.
The guy who sold me these is a fifty-something yr old VAG enthusiast who owns an R in the "exclusive" #lapiz bloo color
He plans on buying it out after his lease and will ditch his RS4 V8 which scares him financially a bit at this point. He is aware of the pros and cons of owning that beast, but feels that the .:R gives him the thrills he seeks.
I remember how tough it was to mate the remus up to the stock res piping with an added spacer that came in the kit. Picture attached... Splitting it will likely be troublesome.
I did a quick dry run of the process today but needed to pick the kids up from their after school programs so nothing got done yet. Tools are ready!

I need a bench vice... and a bench.
Some kids school thing starts at 1pm so now I've got the car torn apart and will likely screw around with it for another hour before I can put it back together again. I suck ol:

OR the window roll down. I mean, come on. You can remote roll down windows since like 2005.

Ok so I went to my kid's "Acceptance" vigil at school and accepted that i wasn't going to live that existence anymore so i paint marked both mating surfaces to see which one moves easier. Turns out its the outer layer so i put more effort there and it finally came apart.

It gets a tad louder in race mode. Do your remus use the factory wiring for the electric baffles?

So the remus comes with its own valves anf mounting plates, just remove the solenoid from the old exhaust and fasten it to the new one. The position of the valves makes that part of the install super easy.
