First legitimately cool day of fall. As you can see I'm at 29,243 so I'm bringing it in soon for the 30k service. Image

Diller had no update regarding the patch last time I was there. I must not be paying them enough.

Can't afford not to if you want that CEL taken care of.

HK is more expensive than any place in the united states, as they are our overlords now.
Phuket on the other hand.

Could get a handy for less than the price of street tacos in LA.

So this will be the fourth documented time the diller will look at this issue. Fifth in total since I cleared the codes the first time it happened.

Going to try and get the car in soon and open a case with VW looking for a replacement/buyback. Would be nice if I don't have to do the 30k service on this heap.

In seriousness... that really sucks on a brand new car... Hopefully they can get a buy back going, at this point I would likely want to :nope: out as well.

Buyback request has been opened with VW and I'm dropping the car off on Monday night for them to review Tuesday. I kinda wanna get this in before I have to spend another $500 on the 30k maintenance.

This is 9 years of running back and forth to the dillership when you include my Mk6. :disgust:

Well I said replacement or buyback and she went ahead with the buyback request. :iono:

I genuinely have no idea what I'd look for. Toyoter jacked the price up on the 4R TuRD bro and as cool as they are I don't think I'd be able to give up a sporty fun car.

That sucks Gberg. I honestly think that modern MQB VW’s are pretty reliable as a whole, but usually when the problematic ones surface they tend to be lemons and beyond repair. I know 10+ people with MK7 R’s and none have reported issues such as this.

I doubt anyone on this forum would want my damaged car. But anyone on this forum contemplating purchasing it is more than welcome to come grab it for a weekend and brap around.

It's interesting and sad that you either get a good VW or you get a turd. Unfortunately :mahman: Gberg has been dealt turds twice now. The super odd thing is it's a later model MK7 not the first model year or anything.

:iono: I kinda like the :aintcare: aspect of an imperfect vehicle. I could possibly be interested depending on how long you end up having it. :notsure: where I'll fall with car stuff upon being a month or two into the job change. Or GBerg could beat me to buying it which would be :fuckyeah:

This is on top of electrical gremlins the car already has. Radio module has been replaced already and the automatic function from the driver window switch stops working on occasion.

Yep. 4 VW's and 2 straight turds. I guess waiting till all the kinks get worked out doesn't apply to VW.

I'm not holding my breath on the buyback though. I assume they'll tell it's fixable.
