Update from the is that there is still a software fix coming with no ETA.
Techline again recommended either driving the car as soon as I turn it on, OR waiting for the idle to settle after a minute which makes no sense since that's when the CEL pops up.
No contact from the regional rep yet but he'll let me know if they hear anything from them today. Picking the car up tonight.

All euro spec VW's are ahead of murican's, it's embarrassing. The tiguan that I drove in Turkey is colorful too. But just the fonts are like in my mk7.Johnny_P wrote:Sick Passat.
That game boy screen. I thought they did away with those. The Polo I rented in Slovenia had a color gauge screen FFS.
Oh and did i mention it has the same engine as the jetta, the 1.4t

It all depends on the options. We get the better engines and they get the better gayges. Same shit underneithMexicanYarisTK wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2019 11:02 amAll euro spec VW's are ahead of murican's, it's embarrassing. The tiguan that I drove in Turkey is colorful too. Yeah. Supposedly it's software but they have no idea when the patch is coming.max225 wrote:What is the actual check engine light for? Misfire?Gberg2119 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2019 10:16 am Update from the is that there is still a software fix coming with no ETA.

Dang that’s frustrating af and they couldn’t tell you this without keeping the car over night ? It seems like it should have taken less than 5min to check light and get you on your way. service department is inept
They probably could've done it in 5 minutes. I wanted to get it to them asap since I was on a time crunch and we weren't sure if VW was going to have them try anything else.max225 wrote:Dang that’s frustrating af and they couldn’t tell you this without keeping the car over night ? Eh. I wouldn't say it's that bad. It's definitely better than the Mk6 Jetta.

Paid more attention to it while driving it back to the diller. Rubber steering wheel. Plastic shift knob. No heated seats. Mucho hard plastic on the dash and door cards. No sunglasses holder in the roof. Prop rod for the hood.
Looking at VW's website and mine was an SE. Real leather steering wheel, brown leatherette interior, and heated seats. It did have the poverty radio though so no sirius.
