Well I finally did it and went from blue egg to blue egg. Got home a little while ago with the R. Mod plans are pretty much zero. Probably do a drop in panel filter, open the armrest(if that's even considered a mod), and maybe some :tints:. I also have to order a new plate frame. I don't think my GTI one should stay on the R. Ha.

Thanks guys. Hopefully it's not a nightmare like my Mk6 which leads me to my :dillerman: confession. I bought an extended warranty...

I fully intend to keep this car 6+ years and the :dillerman: initially offered me a 6 year bumper to bumper warranty for $2500. He came down on price to $1500 and I decided to take it. I thought of all the money spent on nonsense associated with my Mk6 I figured I should take it. Hell, I just spent over $2k in repairs on the Mk6 this past October. Hopefully the extended warranty means a less stressful ownership experience.

The warranty seems :notbad: for $1500. It should make VW ownershit more enjoyable. In4review.

6-year bumper to bumper for $1,500?!? On a German car? Hell yea. That'll pay for itself by year 4 I bet. :fuckyeah:

Does the extended warranty begin after the 3yr/36k mile ends?

Unlikely. They seem to all run concurrently with the manufacturer warranty from what I have seen when they pitch them to me. That's why on the Corvettes everyone looking for extended warranties buys the GMEPP extended warranty a year before the factory warranty expires and only spend a few months double covered.

That's what I was wondering. Would've been more :impressive: if it was a cumulative 9 years rather than 6 :flaccid:

The dealers here with them still are at MSRP from what I've seen, and the one where I got a deal on my 2013 R seems to still be marking them up. Not listing MSRP, but "Sale Price" of $43,715, $44,295, and $44715. Two each at these prices.

They must be taking advantage of the legalization of weed that happened in November. :iono:

Waxer is correct. I even brought that up when discussing it. It should start after the normal 3/36k ends but that's not how they do it. 9 years would've been amazing though. And still with all the tech baked into the car, I'm sure I would've spent more than 1500 on issues if I didn't have it.

Still a :fuckyeah: deal, but would've been even more :fuckyeah: for 9 years.

I should probably consider this
Contact Ken Fichner from this post: http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c6- ... plans.html

Supposedly, he is the go-to guy for the best deals on the warranties. I'm going to contact him at the end of this year about the Z06 if I decide to not mod the car.
