There may be some :dill:s to be had but I don't buy the chapman price at all. I think they post all the stuff people never qualify for.

This is why I don't trust a lot of these dealer advertised prices on the website. So easy to :bs:

It is shocking to me that anyone with a sub 700 score is allowed to buy a 20k+ item period.

Not only allowed, but encouraged in this case.

I have seen it before... and I always fail to understand it. I suppose it "lowers" the payment by what $8 a month? like this won't make or break anything. Why would you a) want a customer with a sub 620 score, b) offer them additional discounts, you should charge them MORE.

Using captive finance with a 20%+ interest rate. They make their money back.

The icing on the cake today was getting pulled over for tint AGAIN. Unfuckingbelievable.

This car is cursed. Luckily I only got a warning which was probably thanks to an exemption note I have.

The :gorf: is back at it's second home, the :dillerman: service bay. Got a brand new Tiguan as loaner.

I'm curious as to what they come up with tomorrow. I'm thinking injectors. They said my spark plugs were fine last time.

Also got an alignment done by fled Saturday. My active cruise control and lane assist still work! :mindblown: We'll see if my :dillerman: is trying to screw me if they come back and say my alignment is all out of whack again.

Diller opened a case with tier 2 engineering and VW is sending out a field rep to look at the car. I'll likely be rolling in the Tiguan for the rest of the week.

One step closer to buyback?

IDK if buyback can happen, haven't you owned it too long at this point?

What would you replace it with tho?

I've had it a little over 2 years now but if they can't fix it shouldn't they buy it back while I'm still under warranty? I can't drive around with the CEL popping up every month, there's a chance I can fail inspection. And I think it's related to emissions and we all know how sensitive VW is with emissions issues now.

:iono: I assume if there is a buyback I'd have to work on something with them. So another :gorf: I guess.

Still :waiting: for an update.

Apparently VW sent out a software engineer and he's been plugging away at it all day. Nothing to report as of yet...

VW is still working on the issue and has to approve the ECM update. Once VW approves, it goes through EPA approval which could take several months. Short term solution is to just clear the codes until the eventual TSB comes out.

:notsure: how I feel about that.
