That thread reinforces why I hate dealerships.
It's literally any low production vehicle. The STI had the same treatment here, i COULDN'T TEST DRIVE ONE, at two :dillerman:
So ridiculous. I was able to test drive 2 of them without a problem no appointment or anything. Shame that some dealerships still operate that way.

Like others have said, there's no wrong answer here.

At least until you get a price on the Honderp.
I dunno if I am willing to start wasting their time on it yet.... I did really like the sport... and the Hype R is just better in every way other than looks... But 15k upcharge... :disgust:
On the plus side it won't depreciate, considering they're 2 years in and still charging ADM.

I couldn't drive a WRX in 2012 without a deposit and commitment to purchase. Not even an STI.

2012 they still had production issues so they were still rare, that's not the case anymore. But that's odd too because I rolled into a dealership with 4 of my friends and we test drove a brand new 2010? WRX manual no problem. Guess your dealerships just sucked.

Sounds like it's common in CA.

Also 2011 they fixed the looks with the widebody and demand rocketed for them. 2010 was the corolla look.

:jimp: that was a fun car. A lot softer than my car and a lot more body roll, had it in a 4 wheel slide on the test drive with the exhaust farting backfires, it was a lot of :fuckyeah:

BTW the STI is still holding the value quite well, I haven't seen many dip under 30k unless they were ragged on... Am I in a bubble on that one here ?

Same thing. Couldn't drive either of them in 2017.

I expect I'd get 26 trade on my car with 12k miles. They'll probably sell it for around 30.

It was Reedman too so they have their own little test track. It's not like you have to take them out on the road.

I was gonna go to your diller the next week but north penn made too good of an offer on my :mk6: and they had the exact R I wanted.

Exactly why I test drove one there...

I can't believe they want 37,900 for the Hype R at 2 years old ...

Supposedly you can get it for 36.6 new... like their business model is perplexing to me.
