He doesn’t “hard park” aka back in either. Backing in is easier and safer than normal parking because you can go more into the spot since ground clearance is higher in rear than front. This means your car isn’t “as long” and therefore less chance of a car pulling in and touching you.
Also, might want to get a pair of dash cams, even if you only use them when you park. You will have a good chance at identifying the asshat(s).
