The leap from 5/6 to 7/7.5 is huge due to the MQB platform.

Yea, the 5/6 were rather similar, but still different IMO. I loved both cars, really.

To me it is more of an engine/trans/tech leap than the platform or the styling.
TFSI to 3rd gen EA888 is about a 50% actual power bump + 1 extra gear + digit dashes, better infotainment, stereos etc.

Already did. It is 20-30% cheaper than the M3.[user not found] wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2019 4:47 pmYou should get an insurance quote on a WRX/STI first.
I bet you'll out solely due to that.

I've been shopping for MINIs lately too.
I miss mine.
I'm kinda pissed that I never even thought about them during my search. I think new they are kinda but had I known a JCW could've been a thing in my budget... well...

Red one in Oregon with the dildo shifter

JCWs are stupid rare because they just didn't make a ton of them. When I was at Princeton MINI - we only got a small handful per year (maybe 5-6 total).
Fun cars, though. 228 HP and light and tossable with waxables and great feature content.
