Right which is why it pays (pun intended) to be in the base(ish) models, the base STI is "only" 4k apart from a WRX limited new. And they essentially have the same feature content. Which is why I am still considering it, however actual ASP remains TBD. I haven't seen any "markup" at the dealers which is encouraging as it used to ALWAYS be there on STIs. But in terms of how much they are willing to move... :notsure: I have another 2 full months to reach a conclusion... and have depreciation take out a bit more from the cars I am interested in... but the clock is ticking...

I'd be curious to see what Tesla will do now as well, their rebate is running out on 6/30 and they are scrambling to convert those sales... their "Q3" will be rough... a lot of headwind... maybe they'll start playing the pricing game at that point.
I'm surprised Tesla didn't try harder on you to get the end of the quarter sales up. I figured they'd be full blast SELL mode.
They seemed really deflated...
" Yea the rebate is done :( "
"we have nothing on the lot so we can't sell you anything"
"but you can order your car and have it in less than 2 weeks" <<< :impressive: and how it should be

Ohhhh...no inventory units. Interesting, the bears seem to love to promote a glut of Model 3 inventory. :fakenews:

Tesla is soon going to learn how hard it is to generate demand to sell vehicles. So far, it's been all pent up demand driving sales, now that that seems to have been satiated, :dill: s are going to be required to increase demand...especially with the tax credit gone.

They have 2 cars "in stock" in a 50 mile radius, and a few 600-900mile demo models with a few hundred off MSRP. :nope:

Has RS3 been mentioned yet? Although their prices were still :mindblown: when I was looking at them.

I think the S3 has been ruled out because :gorf: is more useful?

There is no way I’d get the rs3 given the price point. :neat: car but I’m trying to stay under 40k

Ok some other minor updates...
Looks like the average STI is getting 20mpg on fuelly

The average WRX is getting 23 mpg, so ... the actual delta is only about 15% vs the 25% advertised. :wtf:
I expected the average WRX to come in around 25+ which would have made it at least somewhat compelling, 3mpg is not going to make or break anything for me. I am averaging around that in my M3. Not really a deal breaker as is...

Kind of surprisingy as I'd assume the better sounding engine and generally more eager driving experience would make people drive the STI even harder. Or maybe the WRX people drive harder to try to keep up.

Could be a buyer difference. If you have STI money, you're probably a bit older and less heavy footed.

If you're buying a WRX, you might be younger and more inclined to drive it like a :stig: rally car. :iono:

I can picture Max moving out of Cali with the AZN, living dat mortgage note free lyfe, while running his own car shopping business. People reach out to him with what they're looking for, Max searches the country to find said vehicle and they pay him a fee to do so.

That's almost Ram Rebel with 12" screen, air suspension, panoramic sunroof, and V8 money...

They're part of the problem.

While it's great that enthusiast vehicles are somewhat plentiful now, I bet dealers like this complain to Honda saying nobody buys these lower volume :manuel: cars while they sit on their lot with $5k-20k markups on them.
