Your chart says you need 8.5 inch ramz for 255s.max225 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 6:05 pmhttps://www.tyresizecalculator.com/char ... size-chartDesertbreh wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 5:54 pm
255s are too beeg for 8" ramz. Get some flarez doe. Along with your toon.
Just slight poke breh otherwise it is Stretch city . 225's are perfect for 7" wheel.

I'm predicting he'll like the R better.

Hype R Puts up pretty good G forces as well... seems kind of
An R is 3300 lbs. 225's are fine for a small hatchback. Bump it up to 235's if you want but I'd imagine without a t00n to give you big horsepower a 255 would be too much.

Ideally I think a 245 square setup would be perfect. But you can’t get that size on golf that makes sense. 255s would be nice too, but there is a small wheel limitation. And if rub. I mean 225s are narrow tires for anything over 3000lbs that is performance oriented. It’s compromising the car but I don’t care that much , it is what it isGberg2119 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 7:57 pmAn R is 3300 lbs. 225's are fine for a small hatchback. It’s more about how much weight you’re throwing at a narrow tire through the turns, acceleration is fine

Interesting things happening here. I'm excited to hear about the Hype R and RS tests. Personally, I think an R is a pretty perfect one car daily, but a little bit boring for my tastes. I'd much rather have something more raucous like the Fuckus or Shitvic.

It's really not that hard to determine ideal tread width to wheel width, assuming no class rules limiting anything. Convert your inches to millimeters and understand that a small stretch beats a pinch.
225mm = 8.86"
A fits best on an 8.5 - 9.0" wide wheel, with the 9 being preferable.

Going by that, I need 205s for the front and 225s for the rear on my Kamrymax225 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 12:44 amSo why don’t the oems do it then ? 245 is what the STI has. It's good. Could mayyyybe use a bit more front tire, but eh.max225 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 8:06 pmIdeally I think a 245 square setup would be perfect.
