I wouldn't polish it anymore as you don't want to remove the coating.
Let it sit in the sun, there should be enough heat in the sun today... It's clear here, anyway.

Yea, just did a light “hand” polish after those pics can’t pick up the etching on a camera. We shall see what happens, given the current state of the paint I don’t have high hopes.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Sun Jan 27, 2019 4:31 pmI wouldn't polish it anymore as you don't want to remove the coating.

I remember that whole $10000 a gallon or whatever GM claimed it costCorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Sun Jan 27, 2019 4:41 pm The clear that the car mfgs use over exposed carbon is shit, from my experience. I'm never going with exposed again for that reason.
The clear is thinly applied, soft when cured and EXPENSIVE for the material. You have to be extremely careful polishing it so you don't burn it off.
Yep, and the same stuff is used on all the cars. My friend had a loooong job hand polishing the thrashed CF on the McLaren cars and said they are more stressful than when he did the LaFerrari.max225 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 27, 2019 4:43 pmI remember that whole $10000 a gallon or whatever GM claimed it costCorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Sun Jan 27, 2019 4:41 pm The clear that the car mfgs use over exposed carbon is shit, from my experience. You can’t really polish CF once it’s exposed unless I’m missing somethingCorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Sun Jan 27, 2019 4:48 pmYep, and the same stuff is used on all the cars. As long as it isn't dry carbon, it has clear on it and you're polishing that to remove the surface scratches.max225 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 27, 2019 4:50 pmYou can’t really polish CF once it’s exposed unless I’m missing somethingCorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Sun Jan 27, 2019 4:48 pm

Makes more sense just a thin ass clear/paint. The most notorious one is the F40.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Sun Jan 27, 2019 4:53 pmAs long as it isn't dry carbon, it has clear on it and you're polishing that to remove the surface scratches.

One thing that’s really cool about then m3 is how good of a dd it is. This a Costco sized toilet paper thing that was bigger than the azn. Oh and fire wood. Cuz reasons ... all fit in the trunk nicely. It was pissing like crazy last night

Cover every surface in those clear lens protectors that dirtbike riders wear, and when too much shit builds up, just rip off the top layer like they do when they get caked with mud.
A rag/wash bucket is the only thing that works on wheels, sadly. I've tried it all and you're either doing labor or they're staying dirty.max225 wrote:

5 min scrubbing with a rag ... per wheel. Zonax just doesn’t make anything easier, and it lasts me 3 car washes only .... per bottle. I’m ing out

Sonax does not remove all the dirt. It DOES attack nasty stains and helps keep your wheels newish looking. The Pentagram Ramz are absurd in design=absurd to clean. Those things were filthy, nice Johnny P car care habits.
I have driven on the PSS on the C6 in the low 40's. They don't crack or anything extreme like that but at cold temperatures at WOT in second the car will start to get out of shape, which does not occur at 80+
That was just 6-8 weeks of non-washing.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Tue Feb 19, 2019 1:35 pmSonax does not remove all the dirt. It DOES attack nasty stains and helps keep your wheels newish looking. Low 30s for me, I can't floor the car, 0-30, but I mean that's common sense. Just like in the rain you can't floor it... or in an ice storm... floring is just or "fun" if done right.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Tue Feb 19, 2019 1:37 pmI have driven on the PSS on the C6 in the low 40's. Along with not having a Rolex that coordinates with your M car, that's another reason you can never join Bimmerpost.max225 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 19, 2019 1:38 pmThat was just 6-8 weeks of non-washing.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Tue Feb 19, 2019 1:35 pm
