But im falling out of love with the scrambler.
actually ive come to peace with the s2k tax. Its a lower entry price and i'd have a nearly paid for car.stripethree wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 11:18 amA solid prediction. I am banking on the "S2Ks are too expensive for the good ones" argument and "the value on used Fiata's is too good to pass up."
I mean, I am ALMOST okay with this price. And I know there is some wiggle room on it.stripethree wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 11:18 amA solid prediction. I am banking on the "S2Ks are too expensive for the good ones" argument and "the value on used Fiata's is too good to pass up."

If you are going to get an AP2, please get an '06+. I've done the research. So has Walt. The ECU is *much* more tuner friendly, plus DBW and VSC. I feel stupidly confident hooning the car with VSC on, even on the Dragon. It lets you get away with just enough. And with it off and the stock FSB, looping this car is too easy, even on sticky tires. And no, that's not a knock on your driving, it's just flat out worth it to have. Also, I say the ECU bit knowing that there's a 99% chance I won't ever touch it but it's a lot easier with an '06 if I want to.dubshow wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 11:40 am I mean, I am ALMOST okay with this price. All that said, that's a pristine example that lends evidence to values going up. That is almost exactly what I paid for my '06 with 42k in 2015, in similar condition.minus the factory front valence but with a near new top.

Oh, and also, when you go S2K, just go ahead and get the Karcepts bar immediately. I'll be happy to put you in touch with my guy at ProParts that can get you well valved Konis also. Worth it.
Also: Curt trailer hitch. And my exhaust is the Invidia Q300 single if that happened to be your fancy. I recommend doing the exhaust at the same time as the hitch.
That'll get you a well sorted S2K that can tow a tiny trailer and still is ride compliant on the street. #doit.

Good reason to buy an S2K. It'll hold value no matter what stupid shit you do to it.Desertbreh wrote:The whole car is horribly butchered garbage.[user not found] wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 6:21 pm I wouldn't be so opposed if the car wasn't originally red.
