Drop top version would be on the short list to replace S2K. I looked when I bought it and the prices were just too high. Sad part is, the last gen 6 cylinders won't depreciate as much or as fast and are the best looking ones of the lot, IMHO.
So after approx 2 months of debate, as you all know, I settled on a 2018 Golf R. After SWEARING off buying brand new cars, i went
I save enough and can afford it if I modify my lifestyle a hair. Twas also a great time to exit the in terms of value. 10% sales tax is brutal so I profited fairly well.
I feel more excited with the car. im happy to be more centrally in "like minded" enthusiast world. I just couldnt deal with people any more. Having conversation about mass produced mall crawlers.. in random parking lots. "So how do you like your jeep? I have the lifetime warranty"
So yeah. I got a big blue egg.
Ordered the ECS clutch bleeder and stop. Also teh resonator delete. The mk7 one does fit the mk7.5
And the hidden "Eco" hitch from torklift central. That was freeshipping.

Rez is gone. Quick install. Only gripe was the 1/4 to 1/2" gap of delete pipe. Luckily it seals well with OEM style clamp. I should have test fit before cut but I just measured per instructions and dead center in factory dot guide. I now see why the factory gives you a range to cut.
It's pretty quiet still. I enjoy it more in race mode.
Zero drone at 3-4k rpm. I don't see why this isn't how it is factory.

if this an official resonator delete kit or did you take it to a shop and have them fit a straight pipe in place of the resonator?dubshow wrote: ↑Sat May 26, 2018 8:55 pm Rez is gone. Quick install. I have an axle back which I find to be satisfactory volume wise but I might get this kit anyways. I think that the two combined will be
Btw, I coded my valves fully open all the time with my obd11 (vag-come typw thingy) and the car is way more alive now sound wise. Off throttle and on throttle sounds great. You'd be amazed how much those exhaust valves do to keep sounds down.

ECS brand knock off from the OEM. I stacked it on the rez after to check and it looked close. But yeah, Im about 1" short total. No big deal. No leaks.razr390 wrote: ↑Sat May 26, 2018 11:59 pmif this an official resonator delete kit or did you take it to a shop and have them fit a straight pipe in place of the resonator?dubshow wrote: ↑Sat May 26, 2018 8:55 pm Rez is gone. Did the pedal stop. Totally great dill. I left it pretty low since I was in a hurry and even in the lowest setting it does it's just well. Took nearly all the dead play out the back. Another thing that should have been factory. Even just a rubber spacer would work.
dem underbody jackingoff panels are peppering

Other than my tire decisions: Ive come down to pretty much 2 wheel options.
the neuspeed rse10 in hyper black. Im jumping between 18x8.5 et45 and the regular 8". Im also torn on running a 245/40 or a 235/40.
The second option is a hair above my budget/what I'd want to pay for daily driver wheels. Im waiting on pricing from a local friend that knows the owners.
Titan 7 in 18x8.5 et42. They are only 18lbs and are forged. Not too many people running them, but they dont stand out in looks, just performance.

Actually I would say those Titan 7's do stand out in looks. They are quite bad ass. The Neuspeeds are meh.dubshow wrote: ↑Sun Jun 03, 2018 1:35 pm Other than my tire decisions: Ive come down to pretty much 2 wheel options.
