I’ll probably pick a track day and do an A-B test.
:nice:

are you doing :225: heaters yet?
Yeah, I started running them late last year in and effort to address tire wear (I was destroying rear tires because I wasn’t allowing them to come up to temp before hammering on them).

Picked up a NiB WEN 2000 watt quiet series generator for $200 off of FB marketplace - supposedly found at an estate auction.

Basically boiled down to the following:

Aprilia Race tune - :dillerman: installed - roughly $250 - doesn't void warranty (supposedly)
seems like the most accessible and especially with your :dillerman: relationshit. :iono:

You have a fancy bike and a warranty is a nice thing.
Additional realization: Free tuning option is only android device compatible - so yet another thing I’d need to buy.

They're a bit more gixxerbruh than I'd normally go with, but I've had good experience with the same rotor on the supermoto and only slightly more expensive than the OEM Brembo, which I've ran into temp issues with before on the KTM.

400 Update:

New radiators and full exhaust system going on. I don’t think I’m going to be able to salvage this fan well to be reuseable on the new radiator - OE fans are nearly impossible to find, so I’ll probably seek out a universal solution.

Exhaust is coming off surprisingly easily. No stuck bolts. Rear cylinder is a pain to access hence the rear wheel and right side footrest/heatshield removal. Universal joints are required.

Get in there with some steel wool and WD-40, clean that engine up.

eh - I'll clean up a few bits here and there. There's not much that can be seen when the fairings are on. Honestly to truly get it clean, the engine needs to come out - it's difficult to access with the engine in the chassis - and I don't have plans to drop the engine this year.

I love this bike so much.. even with the 1980's "slim"/flush mount blinkers. (I put those on my first GSXR).

Ha! - I'll likely ditch those for some chinese OEM replicas.

Things that still to be done on the 400:

New rear shock - still need to order - will likely need to be built to order in Europe
New front brake lines - not an immediate need, but the steel braided lines on it currently aren't the correct length
New tires
I may install the stock Aprilia Brembo MC if I have enough clearance with the fairing - should provide better feel vs. stock Nissin
Paint new body work - probably the part I'm most nervous about - but if it turns out the way I want, it'll be :tits:

Edit: Also record video so ya'll can hear the new exhaust.

Well, the exhaust goes under the chain technically.

Left side exhaust allows for an unencumbered view and service of the rear wheel.
