That scene was on-board an aircraft carrier.
Put your drone on the sailboat.

BOOM! First wind-powered aircraft carrier.

$300k doesn't buy you a whole lot of dock repairs.

pretty much all tablets have an A-GPS and GLONASS nowdays. It suits my needs if the map file is downloaded locally.

So the app doesn't freak out when it doesn't have data as long as the map is downloaded locally?

I've had trouble finding a good usable option for off-roading.

For the marine world, its no big deal BUT waterways are all mapped via the .Gov and as of 2012-14 are free. So trails arent well mapped but I think downloading a specific area in google maps app on phone would suit your needs. Brad and I go this for motorcycle riding.

I just wanted something more water specific and there are a slew of great "free" apps with great navigation "addons"

There's GPS maps apps or whatever for offroading, but you need to be an Army Ranger to understand how to use them...and the thing constantly freaks out when it can't get data, even with maps downloaded. I've tried Google Maps in satellite view or whatever, and they're better than nothing, but still not great.

Interesting. I really loved the :jeep: nav with the blue line "path" tracker. Was super helpful off road. I'll look into apps that perform better without data.

The slip people must live in boat time. Office opens at 8am -3pm. Mon-Friday. Yet the dont answer the phone till after 12.

They being REAL obtuse about the previous owner NOT USING THE RIGHT FORM. He notified them of sale and asked not to be billed for upcoming month.

Their response: "Vessel must be moved by end of day June 30." Well yeah, we'd like to transfer it.... "Well you used the wrong from and need to use a transfer form. You asked to cancel."

:bruh: We all sitting here simply trying to move it to my name now. Here is my insurance. He is my money. I honestly think it would have been easier to just walk in an get a new slip and move the boat than to keep it in current spot. Oh well.

Ordered some sailing gloves. All my new gear to get solar charging on it will be in tomorrow. Spent all night legit excited to get back and work on some stuff, like sealing up broken cabin window and installing the grab rail on top.

All solar came in. Still need to buy batteries. I got WAY too large of a wire for my single panel. Will have to find some normal sized wiring.
