OT 21: DFD Giveth and DFD Taketh Away

Man.. combination of the time change, being in a different time zone, and the bedding in this hotel out here has me sleeping terribly. Waking up sweating my ass off all night even with the AC down at 64-65, taking hours to fall asleep, etc. Shit has sucked. Cant wait to get home tonight. Work trave...

Wait, is the average commission for SaaS really 10%? https://www.quotapath.com/blog/standard-software-sales-commission-percentage/ You'd only have to sell $2.5M to make $250k? :mindblown: Because theoretically it’s recurring revenue. I’d be more curious if it’s for the contract value (if it’s multi...

Regardless I think it's kind of a bullshit excuse, particularly around abs. You could work out from 6-7 AM three times/week and have great abs if your diet was right. Getting yuge requires a lot more work IMO, as would say, training for an Ironman or ultra marathon. :dat: And for anyone with a fami...

I think a lot of this has to do with the culture of the industry more than time management :doe: If your work involves wining/dining people, networking a lot, etc. it is very difficult to not eat/drink a bunch of shit at those types of things, so that plus working a ton of hours won't be good. But ...

:dat: I agree with :sawce: , GENERALLY fit people are really good at time management, hard workers, etc. That said, that is a 100% illegal thing to judge a candidate on and an absolutely insane HR nightmare. Also there are plenty of fat people, skinny people, muscular people, in-between people good...

Michelle and your wife can bond over that feeling for sure. I have to be careful about what to me are just factual comments about food as I turn things down or choose other things to eat, because they can make her feel bad about not making those choices with me. I’ve learned to, and am working on b...

I don't think my wife really cares that I have abs. She certainly doesn't hate it - she likes that I'm in shape, but beyond that it doesn't really seem to matter to her. When we were in high school and college she fuckin' loved it, though. The downside now, I think, is that my wife is sometimes self...

Chicks with abs are kinda cringe IMO. I’ve been with girls who’ve had them in the past, not a fan! I’ve heard and seen women of age (30-50) speak and act to know the dad bod is synonymous with a guy who is family oriented. Dad bod doesn’t mean fat, but def not abs. I had this convo with a team lead...

Dayum. Y'all did 87 miles? :stravacreepin:

Rim brakes on carbon would seem to be no bueno. If I still had mine I'd probably stick to alloy rims but build them up with some carbon bladed spokes and nice hubs.
