Acid's adventures in 3d printing
Shifted the cover to the winch itself since it seems to be handling the weather decently. I velcro'd the corners so it's removable. Will likely pull it off and paint it. This ABS is weird and just transfers any bit of grease or smudges onto itself. Glued in 2 orings that I cut and put along the leng...

Acid's Lemon flavored co-pilot airboat poor man's C8 bread
Alrighty. Update time. My boy calls me Friday and says "There's a Civic SI at pullapart. It's got a manual trans. See if you can find out if this'll bolt to the K24 engine we plan on getting." I start digging. Find out that Hondas have the same trans bolt pattern between the K20 and K24, b...

Did some sanding and some dowel making. I already see where I'm going to strengthen this thing. Anywhere there's a hinge pin needs to be stronger. It'll work but I could easily quadruple this and prevent flexing by making the hinge area super strong. Also not allowing the infill to be so thin in are...

So far I'm loving it, but it definitely takes some problem solving skills to figure shit out and get it printing right. Maybe if you spent a bit more money you wouldn't have some of the petty problems that I've had, but then again you will still need to figure what settings work best for your setup...

Winch cover pieces all printed. One of the hinge half pieces was really wonky but I'm just sending it since I'm likely going to redesign this whole thing. Not great, but not horrible. I'm finding that with big pieces with perfectly flat surfaces, if your setup isn't on point the layers get jacked an...

Crown vic. That has actually been tossed around in the group. Well this is the reason my buddy and I are going with the Kswap in the MR2. The two JDM motors we have are sold, and would be too difficult to replace if we blew shit up at a Lemons race. But we invest in a Kswap and we've got tons of op...

2009 Z51 is one of the few cars that I still kind of want, but it's a rare spec and I don't see myself really driving again in the foreseeable future so :ohwell: An EV pod is more likely to be my car whenever I get one. I would like one as well, but not going to happen for now. Assuming prices drop...

I had to turn two other buyers away because the first guy beat them both to my house to pay my asking price. I don't know what's up with C5s now, but C6s are in high demand and asking prices reflect that here in my market. I feel like ask 13k will have interest. Yeah a decent C6 is now $35K+ :wtf: ...

Look what I found https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/cto/d/san-jose-corvette-50th-anniversary-ed/7346159158.html Your car if it wasn’t ragged on… That said I think 12.5 is reasonable. I can’t find many ok ones under 18… 20-25k gets you one that is near new That is completely retarded. And 3 pictures....

For the record, I still have stock Z06 shocks in my attic. 70K miles I believe on em. Stock Z06 sway bar as well.
I submitted mine to Caravana and got a quote of $14K. If I sell mine I'm starting at $22 and willing to drop down to 18ish. But I'll be keeping it for a while.

You can run it up to redline. Just don't drag race it for a few hundred miles. 700 miles on a fresh clutch? Totaled. Lol just kidding. I think you'll be ok. Just be sure to get those engagements and disengagements going for a good few hundred miles when you get home. You really want that thing to b...

Also is there a break in procedure for an OEM clutch? Other than just not dumping the bitch or flat foot shifting etc I've always just daily driven it pretty chilled for about 500 miles. Lots of engagements and disengagements with regular traffic, but nothing that gets it too hot. You want it to be...

Been a minute. Got a few other things printed, some longer prints done as well.
