Re: OT 20: rotisserie roller coaster

I think it's fine, but I drink more as an anti-anxiety medication or social obligation than for enjoyment. I'll drink my :scrooge: Sobieski vodka straight from the (plastic) bottle at room temperature NFG with no :gag: reaction. Like an alcoholic but a lot less frequency/volume. :thisisfine: Sobies...

Re: OT 20: rotisserie roller coaster

Aldi had good coffee last year (or at least they did in NY) but they don't have anything good here now, which is  since I would like to make up a bunch of cold brew. Aldi changes products frequently, which makes me :| because if I like something a lot, I know I won't be able to get it again. I...

Re: OT 20: rotisserie roller coaster

Hmm, I just looked up costco and it's a 30 minute drive up into Florida Man :thankstrump: :truckyeah: territory, definitely not gonna happen. Aldi is 1.5 miles. Generally if I can't buy it at Aldi or Walmart (quarter mile) then I don't bother.

Re: OT 20: rotisserie roller coaster

Winking Owl red box is my number one home drink. I get beer when I'm out because it's cheaper and I don't have kegs at home anyway. These days I try not to have more than 2 drinks though, I've been gaining weight constantly since the moving process started. Dude, I am the numero uno :scrooge: here ...

Re: OT 20: rotisserie roller coaster

I will agree that the Post Covid food price explosion has me on full :wap: :disgust: "days that used to be" mode on restaurants. I can STILL get an excellent daily driver bottle of red wine at Costco for $12. ZERO VID INFLATION. So I go out and you want to charge me $20 plus for a GLASS o...

Re: OT 20: rotisserie roller coaster

:impressive: Seems like y'all spend at least double what we spend, and I think we waste too much. My goal is to eventually have people hang out at our house vs at bars/restaurants, which is why I like living right in town. We hang out with people more at home than out, but oddly for the opposite re...

Re: OT 20: rotisserie roller coaster

It's not really the food, but the drinks. Beer is pretty much $7-10 now, mixed drinks are $12-20. So yea, could just not drink and the bill would be quite a bit less. But we don't keep much variety of booze at home and we eat most meals at home, so going out is an experience I guess. We had a great...

That thing is set up as a "racecar" and I can't see it being fun anywhere but a track. 6-puck clutch, manual (slow) steering, and no AC? :disgust:

Those are otherwise all pretty good mods AFAIK, looks like all of the stuff is from real brands and fairly well thought out.

I added fake stained glass :tints: to the yuge window in my "office" to keep it light without staring straight at the neighbor's house. This stuff is pretty :neat: I think I've used some version of this film everywhere I've lived now since 2012. Artscape is the company. https://uploads.tap...

Re: OT 20: rotisserie roller coaster

I ended up playing my first solo gig tonight entirely unprepared. My partner got a last minute call to his other job, leaving me to play a 3 hour show by myself. I was able to connect my phone to the PA and just improvised over backing tracks from YouTube the whole time. It was nerve-wracking but a...

Car Talk 5: The Juice is Loose!

Since I don't have to do it every day (or even every week really), I actually kind of enjoy the insanity of FL driving. It feels a lot like driving on a track in a mixed-level group. You've got people and cars of every speed and ability level all out there together and it's just one big free-for-all...

I mean that costume could work for like all of September and October, right? Just don't forget the corset to keep the chest bigger than the waist. That's a dirndl. It's a dress with a corset built in, wife's got a few. AND they're not costumes, they came from Germany when we were there. We take Oct...

I'll have to see what he has down here. I know that there are 3 little speakers and 1 of them is acting up. No clue whether they're the actual commercial products, it's a really small indoor space. The whole bar might seat 25 people?

Anyone have Halloween plans/ideas? This is my first year living in a real city and with weather that will not be 40F and rainy. I can finally wear that sexy fill-in-the-blank costume. What pressure? You can go lower on tubeless. Yeah, I went for 65 front 70 rear or so based on what I read, previous was ~80/85. Don't get me :wrong: , the improvement in ride quality is very noticeable, I just don't really care about that all that much I guess. I am doing a century in the mountains...
