Car Talk 6: Best of times and Worst of Times
Serious question can a C7Z even put the power down ? It’s way too much power through a single set of wheels. C8 is priced lower than a C7Z and imo a better car. Not sure why one would even consider the Z unless it’s 50k. 100k is insane they had like 8-20k on the hood new before the c8 came out. You...

So I have floated the idea of a C7Z from time to time. Why? 650/650/TR6070, finally decent seats, acceptable reliability, apparently the best manual Corvette that is going to be made. Man..........it is ROUGH out there. On an Autotrader nationwide search, there are 52 examples of a C7Z Manual Coupe...

I kind of wouldn't be surprised if the dude decides to ghost you... also given the number of issues you've had with his work. I don't think there is a snowball chance in hell he won't fuck something else up in the process. I think it's time to cut your losses and find a super detailed PPF shop to re...

Yea honestly I don't know the level of detail these guys are supposed to get to. I have had PPF'd cars before and I would say that type of stuff is just "normal". The bubbles however... :nope: I do get that you've special ordered a special car and want it to be perfect. I just don't expect...

The first gen minis are incredibly unreliable.
If that supercharger, clutch, cooling system, timing chain and entire front suspension was replaced it would be kind of ok… but you’re still rolling the dice.
And they carbon foul as well.

Went up to Seattle for work M-W.. One of my coworkers is a car guy (VW enthusiast) and I had sent him a Scirroco on BAT last week at some point. We were chatting about that and he mentioned an LR3 that he's going to go look at. Said his mom was going to put her R53 Mini on BAT, then buy his Tiguan ...

Carboner race seats are ridiculous in a car that is supposed to be some kind of executive/high end vehicle. Anybody have a wife/girlfriend here who is going to approve that option? One of the reasons the M3 got approved by your superior officer is that it is somewhat double duty. I mean, fuck it, s...

This was really well maintained... 2X spark plug changes by 50k miles. Those things run $1500 per. Main thing I didn't like in this car was the quality of the seats ... they were either bathed in tire shine or completely worn out. Really hard to see in pics. Coated in farts probably. Hearing your c...

Look for a local :dillerman: that has a car with them to try. Looks like you lose the ass whistler's with the carboners also... :notsure...

No one is DD'ing an M3 :ban: Unless of course you're made of money. That said I am pretty sure I had em on the track and I don't remember them being super uncomfortable if anything they were quite nice. Similar to the porsche buckets... Hmmm But that was 2 years ago.. I'm sure I'm extremely :wrong:...
