Car Talk 4: Now with more carpocalypse!

passports are actually pretty capable off road. It really suprised me to see them handling trials. I'll see if I can find a honda training video that shows it ripping some trails. When equipped with AWD, you'd be hard pressed to get that thing stuck anywhere. VTM-i from honda is actually good at se...

Car Talk 4: Now with more carpocalypse!

Kia's "best warranty in the market" is power train only. it's also nontransferable. Telluride is def a good looking car. However, i feel like it'll be plagued with the typical kia problems (devaluation like crazy) I'm a little biased since i'm a honda/ CDJR Fiat :dillerman: Passport Elite...

I think I'm at about 82K on mine. I bought it with 69K a couple of years ago. It's an '02. I drove it a bit on weekends and shit and then ended up just parking it and almost exclusively autocrossing it So my mileage is all trips to Baton Rouge and Nola for races and back. :notbad: i need a second v...

Car Talk 4: Now with more carpocalypse!

So, as the wife and I discuss the potential replacement to our Rav4 in a couple of years, something new to the market that has started to make it's way into the discussion is the Kia Telluride. I'm curious to keep up with it over the coming years to see any issues/problems and how they address them...

Do you even invest?

Figured this would be a worthy thread for this question... My wife and I are looking for a new bank after dealing with some headaches with our current, Santander, especially with several fuck-ups on their part that led to us not being able to withdraw cash while in Europe and ultimately paying a hi...

2.5 week :poorvette: update still haven't had the time to diag the oil leak. When I went under the car to change the tranny fluid, there wasn't but a few fresh drops of oil. Not too concerned about it, but def want to get it taken care of. At some point during this week, I'm going to raise the fron...

Drag radials are off. They are my buddy's I was just borrowing them for the gappening. I'm dailying the crappy kumho exstas :word: I ran autox on those things once because I was too lazy to swap the Hoosiers on, they're OK for DD but pretty terrible compared to a PSS let alone an RE71R or similar. ...

All dynos are different, and programmed differently based on a number of variables, but from what I've seen at local shops Dynojets read about 10% higher than Mustang dynos. It's all about the before & after on the same dyno obv. This part always pisses me off to no degree. A tool designed to m...

Now that I think about it, 440 is kind of a good deal of power from a HCI ls1. I have a buddy that has a stroked ls6 (383ci). He just got dyno tuned on a dynojet. made 487whp.

It would become more pronounced at WOT.
I haven't heard anything crazy while WOT. I even ripped 7k redline this morning and it was fine. nothing out of the ordinary

well here in commifornia smog is every two years. I won't have to smog the car until 2021 so i'll be good for a quick minute. However, if you know a guy that knows a guy, you can get a hot smog done. They're getting more scarce and a lot more expensive, but that's the easiest way to get it done.As ...
