Acid's Lemon flavored co-pilot airboat poor man's C8 bread

Tubing is in. This weekend I'll start prepping the floors, mocking up some mounting boxes out of cardboard, and buy some lengths of pvc to kind of get some ideas of angles and actual lengths. Then I'll plug all the numbers into the software to get my bend lengths and notch locations. Friend's [user ...

Acid's Lemon flavored co-pilot airboat poor man's C8 bread

Ordered tubing today. Total damage is $735 for 4x 20' stock lengths. 3 should cut it, one is extra for any fuck ups I have. Friend dropped off [user not found] at my place, so I'll likely be doing all the prebending and starting to make boxes for each of the landing points of the 6 point cage. Got m...

I don't see how it would hurt the plastic roof. Dunno about the windshield. It sounds like they just didn't want the job. Either that or it happened once and the repercussions of it were a pain in the ass. I saw the rear glass on my Z06 and realized I'd never want to tint that damn thing myself bec...

I had a place in Rochester day they wouldn't do the windshield or targa. Windshield because fear of the electronics getting wet, and the targa saying they'd done one before, but when the tint had to be removed it fucked the plastic roof. So I cancelled tint plans. Y'all have a different experience?...

Have you used one of those suction cup headliner things? They are actually quite nice for the summer.
I haven't but that sounds like what I'm looking for

Speaking of, I've been meaning to retint the windows to my truck.

Looks like dealers are asking around $23K for the mileage mine would be at, so yeah I'd say prices are up, but not as dramatic as I'd expect unless you've got a super low mileage one. Those are looking like high 20s and some in the 30s. I bought mine for 20K with 70K miles, at about 85K miles I'd ex...

$15K is pretty much the top of the line for a base c5. So it should be nearly immaculate at that price. Also with 118K miles I'd expect to pay a little less. I agree... but not the case in the local offering here, it is like $16K for 100K mile clean automatics and uphill from there for anything dec...

So I've had an Annoyatron for years here in my office. Used it a few places I've worked. Pull it out with a fresh battery every few years when a new wave of people come in that don't suspect anything. I think it was about $15, and all it is is a a little chip board with a speaker and a magnet. Turn ...

First mods likely to be a hitch and a rear bike rack. Also it has its first problem. At 250 miles. The car shakes at 65-70 MPH. A low rumble / vibration happens and worsens with engine load. Happens in EV or gas mode. So it’s either wheel balance or driveline balance is off. I’ll eventually make a ...

They're solidly decent for comfort, should be an ok improvement especially if your current seats are shot. New foam and covers for the original seats wouldn't be cheap. They're indeed pretty comfy but pretty shitty if you want to turn. hah no kidding. I've got skin in my door panel speaker grill fr...

Last week, sushi. I finally found the frozen panko shrimp at the asian market, so I grilled them up with the fiyuh. Most of these rolls were fried shrimp, cream cheese, sweet potato, crunchies, spicy mayo with a dab of sriracha. Nagiri (sp?) is simply smoked salmon. https://imgur.com/a/22le1e0 As fo...

Tomorrow I might see if Northern Tool has the welder I want. It's not on the shelf so I'll see if they have it in the back. Also going to start cage prepping. I spent $300 more for the GM part, so right now it seems worth it, however the China part may have lasted ten years so who fucking knows.

Did a little bit of electrical work this weekend, well mainly my Lemons partner. He's in charge of more of the wiring and engine stuff while I get the cage figured out.
