I see a bunch of new 24's on autotrader. They must be arriving now.

Car Talk 6: Best of times and Worst of Times
I don’t trust the gov with a single dollar. They have shown us over and over again they are inferior to private enterprise. So clearly public transit is a direct result of that. It will never change. It will always suck. Doesn’t matter how much you wanna grease your local politician starting to sou...

Car Talk 6: Best of times and Worst of Times
You're not a man who is looking for cheap 0FG transport and has a knack for behemoth SUVs from a bygone era with plenty of brubs. A model 3 fills a different nieche. IMO it is the easiest to use, cheapest to own EV vehicle one can purchase in the USA today. And it CAN be significantly cheaper than ...

I find every C8 wheel to be pretty terrible. Z06 included.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2024 2:30 pm I saw another C8 at the Costco gas station last night. Crappy wheels...the square exhaust, WHITE.... Everything has to be just right with these or it's a no go.

OK i am not alone in this... I always found the claims of "shit just hoses off" exaggerated with both the car and the wheels. Coated or not. I do find that dirt doesn't stick AS much to a coated car but it may be a marginal improvement at best... and it is a bit easier to clean. With whee...

Same. Even after I use the brake buster with a foam cannon and agitation, I still have plenty of dirt spots left on the wheel.

Although that 3 ton pittsburgh on clearance isn't low profile so I'd avoid it.

I know there was some shit with their hacks or stands a while back.. are their Pittsburg jacks any good? They have the 3 ton on clearance for $90 or the 2 ton for $80.. I have the 1.5 ton aluminum pittsburgh I bought 10 years ago that still works just fine. Only upgraded because the bmw is a heavie...

Summer mode engaged! These wheels are going to be a MAJOR pain to clean that’s for sure. New floor jack is 5/7. And it’s nice having those little adapter puck things. Recoded my headlights with bimmercode. Gonna mess around with ambient lighting too since the standard options kinda suck. In the pic...

No chance I would attempt to coat the OEM wheels myself. The Apex ones are simple enough though. https://youtu.be/nqox-iCRIeM?si=3xxvwfcCWJE1RjSd I used the Turtle Wax brand spray stuff and left it on really thick for the barrel and pockets of the wheels. I applied it and didn't really bother buffi...

coating wheels and especially calipers is next level. I am a bit ocd when it comes to cars but not to that level. It's more to save time at the end of the day. If you can clean the :ramz: with a simple hose off, that's a win. I've been using brake buster out of the foam cannon and it's kind of meh....

Looks so good! Did you put any kind of coating on the :ramz: That could help make hosing them off be most of the job to clean 'em. I did but I never seem to do a good job on the ramz. Using the spray stuff seems :wasteful: to get every nook and cranny. I'll have to look for a specific wheel sealant...

As a note on sealants, the guy I sold the to just texted me last night asking what I used on the car because it's still beading up and he wants to use the same stuff.
5 months later is quite an endorsement of the turtle wax stuff.

I actually bought :tits: a hotdog and got myself a Diet Pepsi on the way out, tried a bite of the dog, honestly quite good. I'll probably grab that deal for $1.50 every visit moving forward :lolol: Their hot dogs are legit. If I'm ever there around lunch time I'll usually get one as $1.50 can't be ...

I just got back. $183 today. :tits: was impressed we spent under $200. I’m questioning what we bought for $183. Costco is :waxer: I bought some grass seed for $60, two cases of protein shakes for :tits: at $32 each, those were the biggest ticket. Got a good amount of groceries. Still, too much mone...

There are good detailing products everywhere these days, honestly. I use The Rag Company for all things microfiber, including wash mitts. https://www.amazon.com/stores/page/DF6F5F07-497D-496A-9218-CF22586184E6?ingress=0&visitId=072748b2-a9ac-4dd8-a8cc-19bd613dbdb4&lp_query=the%20rag%20compa...

So far so good. He said the film goes back about a half inch behind the badges. Replaced both pillars that were bubbling as well as the the film he put over my sidemarkers as those were bubbling too. It’s just funny to me that he can tell me not to use a pressure washer while standing next to the pr...
