Talk British to me: All things MINI

R gen? First gen S is R53 and I have an R56. Mine pops loudly in sport mode but nowhere close to an F5x with a JCW exhaust though. Source on the new tuning not making pops? I was referring to your car, yep R gen. It's on north american motoring. All the 2020 dudes complaining about the lack of pops...

I've got a Carista in my VW. It's not bad. $39.99 a year or $9.99 for a one week pass. They give you a month for free with it if I remember correctly. Dunno if they work on the coopers :doe: Gotta research Carista. All I want to do is some simple coding to enable some features, like window up/down ...

Verboten frucht: One car you'd buy today if it were available in the USA

Having lived here just over a year now, I’ve realized I don’t want a Canaro SS and actually wish I could buy a cheap hot hatch like a new Fiesta ST or Clio RS.

So.. this.

Rode in a friend’s APR/Unitronic’d Mk7 GTI today and while they’re far from the most existing things out there, they do everything so well.

Nowhere really but I wanted to run 225/45 summers and keep my stock no seasons for the colder months. There are however hardly any suitable 16” tars sold here, unless you wanna go full :stig: with TW200 Proxes R1R or Direzza ZIII, so figured I’ll try to find a set of 17s instead. Are these cars as VAGCOM-able as the Mk6? I'd love to have the windows be controlled by the keyfob., and a few other things. Also, can the stupid Soundaktor be killed via VAGCOM? I think I saw some setting in the HU that might address this :doe: so I have to look into that further. Absolutely! I do...

Bought these used in SC last year but never got around to fitting them. Fairly rare in 8" width as most 4x100 16s are 7". 16x8 4x100 ET38 Center bore ~72mm (will verify) BFG g-Force Sport Comp 2 (summers) 205/45 R16 stamped 3018 with plenty of tread left. Slight curb rash on one of the whe...

A 99 C5 isn't worth more than $10k those days, regardless of how clean it is. They're fantastic performance bargains. We’ve all thought this but a friend of mine here was just shopping Corvettes and couldn’t find any C5 under $12k and the ones under $14k were trash. He ended up buying an LS3 C6 wit...

I started playing it. Didn't ever make it very far.
I really liked the idea but execution wasn't great, and the open world is completely redundant as it's completely lifeless.

I still feel it deserves a sequel on next gens though.

I wonder why VW didn’t give North America the same dual injection EA888 engine like RoW. I’ve never heard of any issues in Europe so I believe it worked well.
