Sawce's Toy Car

In4pics. Allison is pregnant again! So I’m curious if a seat would fit in the 86 with the passenger seat in the dash. I’m hoping there’s just no need at first. Congrats ! Don’t worry about the car right now. You got more important things to solve for and you’ll be taking the suv with the kid anyway...

Man… if a manual poverty spec 991 cab goes for not much I’m kinda in.

Man lightly used Blackwings can be had for sub $60k? Lotta car for that :megusta: :jelly: :excited:

The red looks quite good as well. Is it more of a true red or more AARPurple? Don’t think I’ve seen it in person but I love it in pics.

I came in here to say... I kinda miss my mini. It was a great little car and the only vehicle out of the last 7 that I owed that I regret selling.... That said.... I would have 0 use for it nowadays I could see that for sure. I got that car seat fully installed in here. It just barely fits behind t...

Pretty wild. That is too fast tire wear for a family vehicle… :nope:

I mean it’s cool but kinda excessive.

I can't ever get more than 30K out of any tires, which is because I drive like an asshole? Now I hear about all this dry rot, and I'm like :thisisfine: I mean same and I don't even put many miles on. All Terrains seem to be the exception though, 50K on the :jeep: and they're going pretty strong. A ...

Yeah the ride isn't great :lolol:

If you lower tire pressures to like 32 it's significantly improved. I think the shocks are just cheap though, I bet with a nice set of Bilsteins it would ride fine.
What’s the factory recommended pressure?
35 PSI.

That's an interesting point that likely has a lot of truth to it. It seems obvious but I've just never thought of it like that. The sword is double edged. When you were young you were more active and POOR. When you're poor you don't stop at the local tavern after work and throw down a couple of IPA...

I'm with you, Michelin is just a very overrated brand IMO. The ones on the 86 have been aight but I've never been too impressed with other sets. I loved the AS3+ tires I had on the MK7. Quiet, good grip for a no-season, and really good steering feel compared to something like a DWS with super squis...

Pirelli AS plus 3 tars ordered for the Rage4. I looked over the OE michelins again and they're dry rotting pretty bad. It's even happening on the sidewall which is a big :nope: Doesn't look like I could go wrong with either these or the Conti LX25's but the pirelli's seem to be pretty popular for c...

Hey Guys. Your day sounds 5/7, :sawce: Nicely done. I spent my Mother's Day making funeral arrangements because my mom passed this morning. It's interesting as everyone knows how much real estate agents get paid pretty much. So I guess the thinking is if you're rocking a $10K vehicle, you don't have experience selling other $1 million+ homes? Still kind of dumb... Everyone has different priorities and spends their money on different th...

I think in my line of work, too nice would be more of an issue. 'If they're paying you that much, we could probably get these products cheaper somewhere else' kind of thing. Most people don't really see what I'm rolling up in as it's usually in an office park of sorts versus pulling in the driveway ...

Still weird to me that people would care…. I guess they don’t perceive you as ‘successful’ in an old car but that is dumb. It’s an enthusiast vehicle. The TJ is the ultimate commuter. Traffic backed up, take the grass. Zombie apocalypse? Good luck in the 86! Guaranteed you take Allison’s wrangler! ...
