Overlanding/offroad chat.

Not sure of parks, but the mid Atlantic back country discovery route might be an option. There is nothing like the vastness of the west cost on the east though, not even close. There's something being developed in MD... I stumbled on it the other day. Can't find it now, of course. But, Offroad Cons...

Man it felt good to sleep in today since I didn't have to go do cardio. Kitty woke me up a few times through the night playing with the blinds, but still got way more sleep than usual. Killed that cheat meal last night. Did a neapolitan shake. So good. They were out of root beer though, so no soda....

I'll do responses in blue If your calories dropped drastically doing whole 30 from what you'd normally eat, that could definitely be a part of it. I think it's more likely option 2 though. You've been on the starting strength plan for a while, and that first round where all you do is bench, squat, ...

More protein. More sleep. MOAR :sawce: Def need more sleep. Protein intake has been solid though. I think the main factor is that I'm focusing on hitting more isometric work to get rid of imbalances and bring attention to injury prevention so I hit my glutes and quads harder than they're used to wi...

dang, another meh day here So I hit 320 on squats last week, a PR. This workout...lets go for 325. I had to crawl out from under the bar ON WARM UPS @305. Did worksets with much struggle at 275, abet with shorter rest periods and really focusing on good, slow form. Press at 115? my body thinks this...

DOMS are hitting me a day late. I did my squat workout on Monday and my glutes are very sore today. Chest feels fine from yesterday but we'll see if they hit a day late too.

So last year I was only hitting them once a week. My workout was: Barbell curl: 4x 12 Dumbbell curl: 3x 12 Hammer curl: 3x 12 Close grip bench: 4x 10 Skull crushers: 3x 12 Drawing a blank on the last exercise, but it was 3x 12 as well. 295lbs squats felt surprisingly good. 10, 10, 10, 8. Not bad for my first time really hitting that weight in a while. The last one I turned into a dropset since I didn’t get 10 reps. Went down to 225 with a sumo stance and hit 4 reps, then 135 with a close “cannonball” stance for 6 more reps. Got al...

We have a really good local burger spot right up the street from my place. I'd hit that over Five Guys now. Burgers are a little more up-scale from In n Out and Five guys, but not too far out of their price point since fries are included in the cost. http://www.twistsandwiches.com/menu/ Boring, SD,...

Five Guys tastes better to me, which I think is explained by the higher fat content that I just found, but In N Out is definitely better to me than I used to be once I realized I didn't like Thousand Island. In 'n Out wins. Double cheese burger there is 37g protein to 32g fat. Five Guys has more protein @ 51g in a double cheese burger, but that comes with 55-59g of fat. That explains why I feel so much shittier after eating there compared to InO. Their fries are fattier than InO fries are too. So we're...
