Re: OT 20: every man for himself

Man, I just finally finished watching the last Jeopardy episodes with Trebek. It's really weird seeing the show without him.

RIP to the man with all the answers.

Re: OT 20: every man for himself

Damn, this laptop is fast AF. I didn't realize tech could work this well, I just assumed everything was slow/shitty since my work computers have all been horrible. Maybe I'll keep this thing... Yeah I've been following this laptop thing.......you're a grown ass man and this is 2021. Have a computer...

Humans did get better at diet and training, which is making them faster.

Re: OT 20: every man for himself

My experience living in FL was basically just like CA as well, all 90+ MPH on freeways all the time, nothing happens either. They definitely give tickets in the Carolinas, I stick with like 8 MPH over the limit. People drive that fast here too but there are unpredictable speed traps all over, both ...

Re: OT 20: every man for himself

Yeah man, 500 plus a 100 victim surcharge. I think 30 over is also steep, it's considered stunt driving so they impound your car, and fines are something incredibly painful. 15 over is a 3 point demerit, and about two hundred or so fine. I'd have to check what level of rapage the stunt driving is a...

The width in particular of almost every newer car drives me nuts... If it wasn't so damn wide then you wouldn't need the :fancy: doors to be able to park the thing.

The X is fucking cool if you want a huge bus and are rich and want everyone around you to know it, which I believe describes you - so go for it. It's the DeLorean of the 21st century. It's not a bus. It is about the size of a modern "mid size" suv. My tacoma is a full 14" longer. It ...

Re: :wrong: Soviet car reviews

Okay I’m being completely serious here. You obviously like the Tesla brand and the styling/packaging/features. What is the true difference in features you get in a Model X versus a Model 3/Y? If you go electric route at this point it probably shouldn’t be your only car (not counting AZN’s Acura). I...

Re: OT 20: every man for himself

I make this quite a bit as well. Throw a little water or milk (like maybe 1-2 tablespoons) in there and it's easier and, IMO, a bit better consistency. That’s essentially the ice cream I made [emoji38] just missing the powdered peanut butter. The difference is that I use way more fat and less sugar...

I assume anyone getting in/out of a Tesla is some jackass rich techbro making millions from an idiotic app with no vowels. Yea :notsure: about that stigma. Aldi sells a 5/7 vanilla non-fat Greek yogurt in the bigger tub size. Would that be a good substitute for plain? I have a tub in the fridge right now! Re: OT 20: every man for himself

Is it just me or did they jack the price way up on ANIMAL brotein recently? I just went to order and it's ~50% more than I paid last time. $150 for 10 lbs instead of 100ish and $71 for 4 lbs now vs 50ish. They did :( supply chain constraints are hitting the whole market. I'm comparing myself to myself. I was faster in July of 2020, when I had been riding for all of a month. On a slow ass bike with slow tires and hills. No fucking intervals were done back then. I did 30+ miles at 17+ mph. I can't do it anymore. Do we ignore the regional/climate variable? July aftern...

Re: OT 20: every man for himself

If I'm paying for a beverage, it had better be alcoholic. I buy some coffees and sodas here and there from fast food/convenience stores, but yeah, at a restaurant, it's water or booze all the way. I guess I'll buy coffee too if I'm out for brunch but that's the lone exception. Overpaying to drink a...
