Glad you had a great time. I've heard really good things about CR.D Griff wrote:Costa Rica was 5/7. I will post pics or make a thread later. It's a beautiful country and very accessible, the people are super friendly and accommodating.
Here's the first CR pics.
Swimming in a river fed by hot springs in the rain forest... it felt like a hot tub!
Lake Arenal:
The rental unit (we got a flat tire first night ):
Rio Celeste, blue water river. This place was crazy.

Swimming in the La Fortuna waterfall:
View of the mountains from the road (the roads are very twisty and pot hole filled in CR):

We paid this dude $60 to hike with us and help us find the animals. He had a telescope tripod thing and we put the phone camera up to that, made for some pretty sweet shots. Analog zoom is a great thing.

The iguana and the sloth pics look pretty good off-phone-screen!
Well, I haven't updated in a while, haven't been great with taking pictures lately, but here's a few.

Thanks man! The potato7 is indeed a pretty decent camera, I don't have those ZillSkillz though.MexicanYarisTK wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2017 10:52 pm those look sick griff, dat new potato sure does take great pics.

This to be exact. It could've been better with a manual, but they gave me an auto, come on? In Turkey and Greece, you'd only get an auto for rental if you ask and willing to pay more for the same car
In San Jose, i was driving up this hill, and it was probably similar or little worse than SF hills, did not have any confidence going further, because it barely had any balls. And going downhill was dat brake stench and even 1 or 2 modes didn't help with engine braking. Would've been different story with manual.
