Don't :member: if I mentioned it here, but my mom got her 2nd dose of Moderna on Saturday and she felt fine. No side effects at all beyond a bit of a sore arm. :notbad:

Pro-tip: In NY, uber/lyft/doordash drivers were deemed "essential" as of 2/15. It took me probably 50-100 hours of hunting to get an appointment but it was worth it, plus I got paid $6 to deliver some guy a $12 taco bell order. Very essential work.

In PA, you just have to be a smoker. Maybe NJ now too?

In CT you can be "overweight" based on BMI.

I'm not sure how I feel about self inflicted reasons to stand in line in front of me. Not that it matters.

I was considering taking up smoking/obesity but found another way fortunately. :notbad: I had my first round of the Pfizer last week.

I think in PA, if you have smoked 20 cigs EVER... total... you qualify as high risk.

In NJ I haven’t been able to get an appointment yet. I was hoping to get vaccinated before my surgery in a couple weeks, but even having surgery scheduled does me no favors.

Surgery? Is that the follow up on your arm?

Yeah. I’m getting all of the hardware removed, a chunk of scar tissue pulled out, a tweak to a tendon, and then getting a bunch of the excess bone growth ground away in the hope that we can get me from 80% range of motion to near 95%. Recovery has stalled and there’s not much more it can go.

The hardware is somewhat painful and in the way. I hate the way the plate feels as I have very skinny arms. Pulling it out now has no real downsides, so the plan is for him to put me under, get it all out, and do whatever he needs to do.

I thought I remembered you mentioning something about that some time ago.

Hey man, good luck to you. Surgery always sucks, as we both know, but it sounds like you'll feel much better after it's done. Be sure to let us know how it goes. :like:

Disgusting, but quite an :amazing: feat! Lawd knows what would come of that elbow in the hands of a lesser doctor.

We're both scheduled for our second doses of pfizer on Tuesday which will be exactly 3 weeks from the first.

We'll see how it goes.
