For sale is a tastefully modifed 2010 Volkswagen GTI DSG / automatic.
6000 obo, title in hand. Located in Knoxville, TN
I'm the 3rd owner and I've had the car for 6 years and about 60k miles.
Milage: 142000
condition: Above average for age.
The good:
New tires with less than 10k miles. 3 extra wheels included.
windshield is only a couple of years old, no cracks.
Upgraded Nav with DVD in motion enabled
LED interior lights.
oem Bi xenon headlights
repliica golf r tails (I have OEM tails as well)
roof rack goes with car.
stock replacement shocks with 20k go with car. no issues with current ones but they are probably tired.
Apr stage 2 tune.
apr cold air intake
eurojet exhaust
hitch for bikes or towing light trailer.
water pump replaced with metal unit at 135k, a common issue on these.
rear main seal and pcv replacement at 140k, a common issue on these.
the bad:
It has a minor transmission fluid leak. last transmission service was at 120k
the headliner felldown and I removed and painted it. some people don't notice, some people hate it.
It's just getting to be an old car. it has some quirks and rattles.
Reason for sale is that I recently acquired a old Miata, and while this car is fun I want a more tame daily that is newer so I have less old cars to maintain.

GLWS, it wouldn't be my style to buy a 10yr old car for 6k to DD but I can see someone just starting out/student offering 5-6k to putt around town in. idea with the headliner, probably just needed to be a touch more flat/matte.

yes, we are all getting older and are able to make smarter choices lol. But I bought many a 3-4k car when I was in my 20's and had more time on my hands to work on them, and it was fun and I have skills for life because of it.
Someone will want it.
oh I didn't mention I got a 4k offer from a dealership just off pictures. said if I brought it in they might be able to do better

I'm either going full with a used but newer newer loaded Chevy volt or other plug in hybrid or with a used still newer but ultra basic appliance like a Corolla or equivalent. Dark horse might be a vw diesel.Tarspin wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 11:12 amDid you decide on what you're replacing it with? I sold my 2008 GTI for $5,700 I think. I was heartbroken that it went for so low when I paid about $26k total for it new. It'll probably sell relatively quick. There's usually a good market for people in this price range and in this group of cars. I had plenty of people hit me up when selling mine, it really wasn't too bad of a struggle to sell it.

it was a great car and I owned it for cheap but I'm glad to not have to deal with it anymore
