This is hilarious. I would not even know what to say if I walked in on this.^^^^^max225 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 12:15 pmCan we talk about the fact that too many ///M badges are tacky … like do they need to be placed on the brakes for any purpose other than upping the gaudinessDesertbreh wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 12:11 pm I am really enjoying the uproar over these cosmetic doo dads. 5/7 will re-up my subscription to this thread.

Wow even the carboner brakes have sliders out back....Gberg2119 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 12:28 pmFrom what I've seen they came on the cars for 2021 and 2022. Then for 2023 some had them and others didn't. Now for 2024 they're gone completely.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 11:39 am After 2 mins of forum searching it seems like a lot of people had theirs fall off. And are really upset they keep replacing them. While others never had them on their car. And still others are “relieved” their car came with them.
Wow note to self, don’t visit bmw forums.
but 3 badges within 6" of each other including the all elusive caliper cover... which looks more like a brake pad cover

Yeah M sliders..........that's like Toyota drum brakes. Don't tell me about the engineering and how it "works just fine"......I want to see some waxables.

These brakes are a $8000 option on a 80k minimum car... to only come with the same caliper you can find on a 320i with 120hp... I suppose it is not as atrocious as the RS3 brake sitch which uses CARBONER BRAKES up FRONT and STEEL PEASANT BRAKES out backDesertbreh wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 12:55 pm Yeah M sliders..........that's like Toyota drum brakes. Zee germans love oversized front brakes with tiny sidewalls + Giant pizza cutter wheels for some reason. While attempting to "cost CUT" the rear of the vehicle or just leave it the same as the peasant spec it was originally based on...
I think everyone aside from Porsche uses sliders on the rear for carboner brakes. MB, Audi, and now BMW all use it.max225 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 12:56 pmThese brakes are a $8000 option on a 80k minimum car... to only come with the same caliper you can find on a 320i with 120hp... I am what the heck my I4 even has... but I am running 35% all around and I have 0 "blinding" issues. Pretty sure you have same stuff going on your car... I wouldn't sweat it.
Just checked.

That's worse cost cutting than the caliper clips butmax225 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 1:53 pmI am what the heck my I4 even has... but I am running 35% all around and I have 0 "blinding" issues. Pretty sure you have same stuff going on your car... I wouldn't sweat it.

Called genius line. There was a work order for the car on the 6th that was completed same day but they don't know what it was for so it must be minor. Car shipped today and is scheduled to arrive at the tomorrow.
why it's taking a whole day to drive an hour and a half but whatever.

Apparently. How many cars fit on a carrier? 10? 12? I'd think all the cars on the carrier would be going to one dillership and they wouldn't ship 1 here, 2 there, etc.max225 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 2:27 pmIt's the BMW way.Gberg2119 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 2:26 pm
