Seeing/hearing “beemer” always makes me chuckle. A gal I dated years ago was talking about wanting a new car.. I asked what she wanted and she said a “beemer”. Okay cool, any particular kind/model? “A BMW”. Yeah, but what BMW? “A BMW ‘Beemer’”. It took far longer than it should have to explain to her that “beemer” was a nickname for the BMW brand, and that they did not have a car called a “beemer”

I still don't know if there's a difference between "bimmer" and "beemer". I thought one was for cars and the other was for their motorcycles?

Since I'm buying the apex wheels I needed to buy new center caps anyway. I'll put the floating ones on the 826m's and take the standard bmw ones that came with 826m's and put them on the apex's.

The boat is currently docked in Zeebrugge Belgium which got me thinking, why does bmw ship cars by boat to Belgium when Germany is right next to it? You'd think train would make more sense. Should be leaving Belgium tonight and then going to Southampton in the UK. It leaves Southampton on the 20th and arrives in NYC on the 29th.

It’s interesting … my defender went by train from Slovakia to Belgium as well and then this way … this may have something to do with the carriers … I think Vulvas are made in Belgium and I doubt the entire carrier is filled by a singular brand so they probably use it as hub to group multiple cars together etc

Buyer is using the C&B shipping option and the good thing is the shipper works on my schedule. They won’t take the car until payment clears which my bank said should be Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest. I just give them a call to schedule pickup.

Congrats on the sale and to Max for nailing the predicted outcome. Seems like a pretty decent result to me, the market is way soft now.

Obviously hindsight is 20/20, but I wish I did this a year ago. Probably would've gotten closer to 40 but I think this guy is getting a hell of a car for 36k before fees.
