I did PPF on my road bike frame in a few places and it’s wicked difficult for it to not be shit.CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Thu Aug 11, 2022 12:44 pmThe good thing is with picking your own color temps for the lows it should be easy to match the highs. Also I recommend buying a small roll of PPF and covering your newly polished headlights. The shape should be easy enough for DIYmax225 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 11, 2022 12:19 pm
No. Lows and highs are seperate. The high beams are actually decent. So the only thing I would do there is change out the bulb to a "whiter" color bulb and call it a day. The low beams however are terrible. I would give them a solid D. High beams are more of a C+

I mean its just great bang for the buck IMO. Hard to find fault with something that has fixies up front, seats 4 in comfort has a near 600 mile freeway range and is relatively easy to work on...
All for 1/4 of the price of a new Civic SI

I used this. My lamps needed no polishing and put these right over. https://www.weathertech.com/mercedes-be ... /lampgard/CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Thu Aug 11, 2022 12:44 pmThe good thing is with picking your own color temps for the lows it should be easy to match the highs. Must have missed this. I think I am ok without the PPF. My current route doesn't get me pelted by other vehicles. It should keep for 100k miles easy.CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Thu Aug 11, 2022 12:44 pmThe good thing is with picking your own color temps for the lows it should be easy to match the highs. I'll report back on the "lows" but I think for the high beams I'll just use regular halogens... I am not interested in HIDs as they need to warm up and LEDs seem to throw codes. So whichever bulb is closest to 4300k
It's a nice car and amazing bang for buck for sure. I just didn't expect a line out the door for it, the most widely loved and approved of car on this forum in a long while.

I day dream about driving that car to far away lands, gazing out of the large greenhouse at never before seen rock formations and trees, and jamming out to the Harman Kardon Logic 7 5.1 HD surround sound during the long nights of driving through the darkness with those MTec HIDs.
Just out of curiosity I went back to the SQ5 link. It's still there and it's listed for $55,282. What was it before?

And the comparison no one wanted … tsx vs the E350
Tsx
+hids
+better throttle response
+slightly better average mpg (+1) or so but worse on the freeway
+backup camera
+more direct steering even though it’s eps
E350
+ better stereo (even though tsx has updated stereo)
+ bigger backseat
+ better ride
+ 2 gears and a far smoother trans
+ smoother engine that has far more low end torque
+ less nvh
+ better brakes
+ better paint quality
+ better interior quality with less wear
+ memory and power drives seat
+ memory mirrors/wheel
+ better handling as the tsx plows like a pig
Both cars are almost the same age and the mb has slightly lower miles 87 vs 120.
