This is why I don't Jeep forum...or any other forum outside of here... there are some seriously ODD people out there.
Hey,
Yep. I named my Jeep Mac. My plate its: MAC N ME as in Mac and Me
I got it from an old 80's movie about a little alien that lands on earth and makes friends with a little kid LOL.
The funniest part of this to me is that for the last decade, Paul Rudd has been showing the same clip from Mac and Me on every interview with Conan Obrien as a joke and it's funnier every time.
Motorcycles are nameless females. But I’ve never given them a proper name. I will refer to them by some sort of descriptor so non-Moto people know what I’m talking about - Motard, Castrol bike, etc
As the only published author in a well-known motorcycle publication in the room...

I'm a fucking failure.
Regarding cars and motorcycles being "female", that reminds me of something my late uncle once told me many years ago when I asked him why he referred to his cars as "she". (He'd say things like, '"She's running rough." or, "She needs some earl.", etc). He said, "Anything that gives you trouble is a 'she'."
Where are these mangos?

Vehicular gendering me
How the hell does a bunch of metal and plastic parts screwed together have a gender?

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.
does someone referring to bunch of metal and plastic as a gender trigger you?
Because nothing has a gender any more, everything is fluid.
Correct. I'm not as much as I am offended.
assume the vehicle's gender!

It's similar to people using "we" to describe sports teams when they are not and have never been on the team. "We" didn't win the game, they did. You sat on your ass and watched.
