I am always when blow by me on the freeway at 90 MPH, often times lifted and whatnot. I hate going fast in that thing, the steering/floaty feel are so bad.
In the Beemah I go 9-10 over the posted limit pretty much always.
I got a neighbor woman... in a lifted JK with shit ass 20" wheels and 35s that poke like crazy. She literally blasts down the street at 50mph in a 25... including up and down a hill that will fry most brakes and made multiple UPS trucks overheat and puke coolant in front of my house...

Fortunately, I don't drive daily and only drive a few times a week. I really don't care what gas mileage is since I drive so little. We'll see if it gets bad on highway trips, but there was really no other alternative for us to consider for what we wanted.
Dumping gas in the 4R is still cheaper than buying a second vehicle we don't need.
It's pretty for me as well... although if we had a Cucktrek, our cross country trip would've been cheaper. I think gas was like $2 last winter though
I don't actually hand calculate MPGeez but the JLU consistently returns 25-26 on our highway trips. I also drive slow as balls because the car is so bad on the highway. 70 is my max speed in that thing.
I recall similar MPG in the two I rented and yeah 80 was death wish speed, 70 was basically my max. And that was in Sahara models with minivan tires lol.

its a jeep thing
some of the fastest drivers in the worst driving new car sold today. I rented that lifted one on Turo in Miami and the Keys a few years ago and it was certainly that much worse than stock as you’d expect. Terribly fucked up gearing as well with the huge tarz.

Actually, I take that back. I really wish we could have seriously considered a Defender. Wife loves them, I do too. It's just super risky buying one with the closest dealer 250 miles away.
Curious about which engine you’d get. Other than the high profile tfl bs. They seem to be incredibly reliable for a JLR. Product so far.
I have been looking at the bronco forums and there are now 27 blown engines and counting with the 2.7 TT. Nothing on the fendie forums about that…

That engine is like a decade old.
And yet they still found a way
Yea I was willing to give the tops a pass… frankly that’s expected … maybe some door issues because they are frameless (and they have issues) also expected … but a tried and true engine blowing up in fairly large numbers …
I drove my roommate's aunt's JLU Rubi and I didn't think it was that bad on the highway. 80mph really wasn't much of an issue at all. I found myself going 85 a couple times too, however 485 is very smooth and well done.

Yea, Our Sahara did 80-85 ZFG. Steering indeed got light, but it wasn't really that sketchy. The JT Rubicon could do 80 as well, but it was deafeningly loud at that speed. 75 was the max.

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.

Buddy of mine here has been trying to get a Bronco, best offer for a two door locally, $110k
I have a local dealer that is showing a shocking 43 units in stock. All marked up 30k flat.
Honestly anyone paying that much over sticker for a bronco is a loser. There i said it.
Anyone paying that much over sticker for anything is a loser. Just be patient, holy shit.

It's certainly not dangerous or anything, I just don't find it very pleasant. 485 is indeed the best freeway by a longshot around here It was also all built in the past 25 years, it wasn't finished until like 2013.

I've seen them repave sections around Matthews just for the fuck of it too.
Oh my god I’m like 2 pages deep on the Bronco forums and holy shit. Multiple trucks with broken axles, many threads about 4x4 errors, many threads about loose ground wires, one guys tailgate didn’t get painted, and apparently the hard tops are delaminating.

Fuuuuuuuuuck that.
Garbage, Ford is dead to me. My buddy had a 2019? Ford Mustang V6 (factory ordered) that started developing brake issues thanks to the caliper assembly not being properly torqued down.
To be fair that’s the fake Canadian currency. It’s around 25k in the fake us currency. Seems a bit more palatable
Good point, but 32k CAD plus 8K CAD is only 2K CAD less then the cash purchase price of new in CAD funds. Still IMO
New R in Canada is around 48k pre tax with all y’all fees.
I feel like we’re living through times where we can’t look back and say “I paid 20k for a civic” or what not. It’s essentially like a new mustang for $2995 in 1969… just not happening anymore
This certainly indicates we're in for a bit of a with the used car market. If people are getting an 84 month, high APR loan on a high mileage five year old car currently selling at 80% of MSRP, they are in for a world of negative profit in a year or two.

Original MSRP is kind of irrelevant when they are all up 20%, average new car price is up almost 30% in the past three or four years.
