That road it's parked on would be amazing in that car. Lots of tight corners that had the C5 tires skipping across the pavement.Detroit wrote: ↑Thu Sep 15, 2022 9:35 amThis looks like it would be stupid fun.CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Thu Sep 15, 2022 8:18 am https://carsandbids.com/auctions/9lYQ11 ... percharged

Hmm... While I do love the color combo a 2014 is probably to be avoided. GM had a lot of teething issues for the first couple of years with the C7. Also asking price for a near 10 model year old car.

I wish that green wasn't 2014 only. Especially with the kalahari interior, it's a killer looking C7. But like Max said, 2014/5 should generally be avoided since there were a number of gremlins that got ironed out by 2016.

That's a bummer. I'm always leery of first model year cars (although I stupidly bought a '22 GR86 anyway...d'oh), but I haven't ever looked into these. What's so bad about those first two years?

Sounds like my friend's dad is going to buy that C7. I sent it to him, he sent it to his dad, now I guess it's on hold and they're driving up to Chicago to go see it in person on Saturday.
I told him my finder's fee was a test drive.

Electrical gremlins and control modules. My friend was a GM tech up until this year, and I remember a 2015 had 32hr of diag time from him because of some data recorder or drive mode error that ended up being related to the headlight module not communicating correctly.

Internally, the C7 was the first vehicle to move to a new electrical architecture, that eventually underpinned all vehicles built from 2015 to nowish. There were quite a few growing pains and lessons learned on the 14-15 C7 that makes them something that could be a disaster to own unless you were a tech.

I must have a set eventually. The only hard part is anthracite, or brushed clear?CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Tue Sep 27, 2022 4:05 pmAlways wanted the FL-5 for my car.coogles wrote: ↑Tue Sep 27, 2022 1:32 pm

If you're talkin' on the 86, I would say brushed clear would look better with the darker blue you have. I would say anthracite on Neptune.
Silver wheels never go out of style can't go with brushed clear.
