The bumper holds the ice/beers and doubles as a platform for babes to sit on when they inevitably come to take pictures with it.max225 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 01, 2022 1:54 pmFront bumper has major bubba vibesTar wrote: ↑Sat Oct 01, 2022 12:12 pm Since you're all moving on to locomotives and shit, I thought you'd find amusement in this bad boy.

It's like an uglier and less reliable Honda Del Sol. Tempting.golftdibrad1 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 11, 2022 7:09 amjust say not to FWD lotusTar wrote: ↑Mon Oct 10, 2022 9:05 pm https://www.autotrader.ca/a/Lotus/Elan/ ... &modalXS=1

When I bought the S10, I mentioned to Michele that it was similar to my first truck in high school. So of course she then wanted her first car...a 95 Civic Green with tan interior
That got me down the rabbit hole of Civics, and I rediscovered Del Sols. I worked with a dude that had a track modded AF Del Sol and we went to Laguna Seca together a number of times. He loved my 951, so we'd swap cars for a session during each day. That Del Sol was an absolute riot. He got a lot of shit for building a Del Sol, but I got it after driving it. I still preferred my RWD 951, but those Civics could be made to be the pinnacle of FWD handling IMO.
Honda reliability and fun to drive from the era, targa top, light, relatively cheap, it seems like it could be a fun extra car. They're on the list of fly and drive vehicles for us now.

Yep, they are cool AF. My '97 Civic was basically the same thing as Infamous's and the Del Sol, they all had double wish boners at all four corners and weighed in at like 2200 pounds. I was a dumb high schooler/college student, but man I had a lot of fun with the Civic.Detroit wrote: ↑Tue Oct 11, 2022 2:17 pmWhen I bought the S10, I mentioned to Michele that it was similar to my first truck in high school. I too prefer the E39 but both are gorgeous.
I wouldn't mind having a 530i from the E39 era, would be a dece daily if I had the energy/time to maintain such a thing.

Same
I test drove a 530i from that era years ago and found it enjoyable to drive, could use more powah if it's only around to be a toy/collectible
The 5 series still looks really good.
It's not really my kinda thing, the 3 series is still a bit too 'executive' and refined for me, but they're quite nice vehicles. The 3 series looks great currently as well other than the front grill on the M models.
