My bud's dad is finally trying to sell his mr2. They both have one, and they're both mechanics who know these cars inside and out.
This white one hasn't really seen any autocross action like his black one. It's pretty much just his dad's cruiser. Just spreading the word. Holla if you know anyone interested

My buddy's plan is to sell his black mr2 to his dad (which is decked in parts), and then he's gonna try to find a 240 project.

Troy, this is the guy with the black Mr2 when you came down here. I considered buying this, but the aftermarket and support for the Miata was just too good to pass up. I drove his black Mr2 on some fun runs and man, I was amazed at how point and shoot his car was. The mid engine was different but you could really feel the grip shift with weight transfer.

He offered it to me for $5K before I got the Meowta. I was really tempted, but you know, Miata. Plus no cargo space. Even for a fun daily driver in the city, having zero space wasn't my thing at the time because I planned on driving it often.

It would be a fun project car. Irons in fires though. Also room to put it. also money to run it.

We do discuss these things, but apparently quickly forgets and thinks I'm made of money. Also race beetle is now just his; I dont have the kind of time to block off entire days to work on it and accomplish nothing.

I can block off a day here or there to work on it with a goal in mind. I'll still assist if gets in a solid diagnosis on the state of the engine so we can fix the 'knock' it has, among other things.
