I generally try to keep myself occupied over the winter. Bikes are parked and generally there’s not much sporty driving to be had in the winter months. I’ve got a few mods/fixes to do on the motor vehicles, but I’m waiting to see how taxes and bonuses shake out before going :troywax: Over the last few winters, I’ve generally done LEGO but space has become an issue, so this season I decided to take up plastic model building. I used to build pretty frequently as a kid, and the last model I attempted was probably over 10 years ago. I’ll post pics and updates on progress here.

First model: Tamiya 1:20 scale Honda RA272. This car won the Mexican Grand Prix, the last race of the 1.5L era.

oh dang. was totally expecting something else.

:notbad:

I gave up on models once I could drive. I also always managed to get a god damn fingerprint in paint after assuming dry time.

Same. I've learned patience in my old age. Also, I'm using acrylics as opposed to enamels; they dry much faster.

Could be fun to experiment with some weathering/textered finishes on that one.

Decals were misplaced/lost for this model, so I ordered another to scavenge from :balls:
